TRAINING

Sat Mar 02, 2019 11:55 pm

What on earth do the players do in training every week?
They are making the same mistakes as Warnock says, time and time again!
Our passing is poor.
Our positional play is poor.
Our defending is poor.
Our shooting ability is poor.
The players mindset is poor, cannot read a game.
Marking is poor, more often than not opposition players in free space to score.
I hope they train really hard next week and can come up with some answers because the way we are playing at the moment is not short of embarrassing.
We still have a chance to stay up but the players and management need to step up big time from now on, before its too late! Very disappointing. Rant over.

I suppose you can train all you want but in training I doubt they come up against the movement of wolves and no doubt the pressure of a game takes its effect.

It's like pens, can practice all you want but come game time its another story.

Agree with that but we are not even doing the basics right anymore.
Surely they need to practice some new ideas as we are too predictable. Same rubbish last three games!

strange ...ive noticed this at every single level from under 7s to sunday league to pro... a good team plays a not so good team and win...its always down to team selection / tactics/ poor manager or training....NEVER EVER because one team was actually better.

We actually played well for the first 15 minutes, but once the first goal went in their confidence was shot to pieces. Our game is so reliant on confidence I feel we have to score the first goal in a game to have any chance of getting a point. Maybe they need a psychologist rather than extra training.

I accept many teams are better than us at this level.
But against Bournemouth( who are a far better football side than us) we won!
We won at Southampton too.
The last 3 games the players have been shocking and that is NOT down to just playing a better team.
At the moment their heads drop when they concede, unlike v Southampton.
No passion. No fight. Clueless!
Get them in more and work in future. Not bugger off on holiday! Where has the team spirit gone?

so how do we get in Wolves half in the second half testerday to get all those corners and long throws without any fight or passion..?
its a mystery.

and yes we had 2 fantastic results..and the result of that is silly ideas that we are better than what we are..and if we can beat bournemouth we can beat better teams than bournemouth..
