' Our final 9 games '
4 of our final 9 games are against Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool and Man Utd. I will be shocked if we take any point from those games, so realistically; we need to get 4 wins from our other remaining 5 games against West Ham, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Burnley and Fulham. That will put us on 37 points, but that still may not be enough to stay up.
Our last 3 games have sent us down, it’s going to take a miracle now. If we don’t beat West Ham next Saturday, it’s all over for us.

Sat Mar 9 - West Ham United (h)
Sat Mar 16 - Brighton & Hove Albion (a) PP
Sunday Mar 31st Cardiff City v Chelsea 2:05pm Live on Sky
Sat Apr 6 - Manchester City (a) 12:30pm live on Sky

I understand that, but I’m looking at our required overall final points total. I still think we need a minimum of 4 more wins to put us on 37 points to have any chance surviving. Just my opinion of course.

It's far from over mathematically. However, I agree I think Warnock has lost his grip on the team. They are shattered and won't recover now. The only question next week is how many West Ham best is by.

I think we will get 4 point ta form Chelsea and Liverpool

He had it 3 games ago. It's like he's imploded now. We were fighting. Now they don't look bothered. We have been spanked 3 games in a row and looked utterly clueless and incompetent

Championship players in the big league. I said we would struggle, we should have spent wisely in the summer with proven prem players, not gamble with championship players.

We all type of know the game plan. Buy youngish championship players and hope they'd make it in the premier league. If we stay up we could build, if relegated we wouldn't be left with crippling premier league wages and taking huge losses in the transfer market.
Arter and Camarasa gave us the bit of quality we lacked even by championship standards. Not sure why Arter was on the bench again, there is not a reason in hell that Ralls & Gunner are better than him in anyway shape or form.
Our owner got his fingers burnt last time, he is still paying it off. He declared that financial stability was paramount so don't expect big transfers. He wasn't willing to gamble and nobody else has offered to buy us. Its just the way it is.
We may do it, my only hope is Kenny looks a bit of a handful, if we could only get the midfield to pass it to feet or into the left channel.

If we can win two more (must beat Brighton) we have a chance. I think Brighton are the ones we're most lovely to overtake

Soton have:
- Spurs (H)
- Watford (A)
- Brighton (A)
- Liverpool (H)
- Wolves (H)
- Newcastle (A)
- Bournemouth (H)
- West Ham (A)
- Huddersfield (H)
A pretty similar set of fixtures to us. Given the away game to Utd on the last day of the season, we'd better hope we can get the results ahead of them given they're playing Huddersfield on the same day.
If it's at all close by that time, that is going to be a tense day.
Sat Mar 02, 2019 9:52 pm
Although unlikely I don't think it's impossible to get something v Chelsea at home. They are very hit and miss, obviously we have to be at our best and them have an off day.

If Southampton play the rest of the season like they did today and we keep playing like we are there' s only one outcome.
Sat Mar 02, 2019 11:59 pm
Three wins will be enough to stay up but if we keep playing like we have for the last 3 games we won’t pick up another point.

Probably but over the season they have only been slightly better than us. No reason to think form won't change again. This is our bad patch so let's see what's around the corner.

Badly need few wins, time is running out.

I can only see them getting 6 points out of that lot. And that's being nice.
That means 34 points will keep us up . But it will be 3 wins on goal difference. We need 10 points in my opinion 35 will be enough this season

I've provisionally booked two telephone boxes outside the Village Hall, so you can hold your
"I'm smug to say I told you so!" party with your friends...
Was going to book just the one but there are one or two others on here who might join in the celebrations!
The irony here is that few said anything other than we would struggle this season right from the moment promotion was confirmed but most got behind their manager/players, turned up and supported the team home and away and embraced the battle that ensued after a very tough start
For the club to be anywhere near possible survival right now is testament to the hard work of the manager and his supposedly 'limited' players; and it's not over yet...or should we lay down meekly because you an a couple of other persistent doom and gloomers on here say so?
You have been and will no doubt remain a negative poster (under your Dahboy name at least) but the rest of us are Cardiff City and not Fulham
We've had it tougher than this and come through but if we don't, it won't be for the want of trying...
