Willie mackay has said in interview with bbc, that cardiff left emiliano abandoned in hotel,to make his own flight arrangements from nantes :?: hasn't he leaked messages, stating that the flight was a reward, for teaching his son to score goals  full interview is worth a read (bbc sport site) some tough talking from him there :!: the plot thickens as they say, cardiff, rightfully declined to respond,is it me or is there a lot of squirming from this tw*t lately :?: :old: :bluebird:

its not just you , he is saying things without provocation.

was suggested on here that he { not an agent } could well be positioning himself to take all the heat off his son { who is an agent } made sense to me, not saying its the case, but makes sense.

He also said that it definitely wasn't a cost-sharing flight and that he paid for all of it. Basically saying that the pilot was flying outwith his license.

Also, interesting that he thought Cardiff City should be babysitting Emiliano at his hotel. Something that he said, in his email to Emiliano, he doesn't do himself.

Says that they will not be chasing the fee owed, YET :!: have a read of it, basically saying it's all Cardiffs fault, quite strong words imo. :old: :bluebird:

He's trying to wiggle out of any blame himself.

He was offered to come to Newcastle. Declined instead to go back to France to say goodbyes.
Offered a commercial flight to France. Declined as timings meant he wouldn't have long in France.
McKay offered him a flight that suited him. He took that option.

I don't see Cardiff abandoning him. Merely a player weighing up his options and making his own choice.

Nobody was to know what would happen. An unfortunate tragedy.

I do find it strange though if honest. a deal worth all that money and he is alone in a strange city. flew back alone ,what exactly are agents for if not to be there in support and sorting things in these BIG DAY events for their clients ..{ I am getting at HIS agent here }.

There is no way this leach is going to willingly forego £1.5 million!! If I am right he is not an authorised agent so why he is even involved in the deal needs some explaining and looking into (isn’t he banned or a bankrupt)??

You can tell by his tone in the interview he knows he is on dogdy ground and is doing his best to cover his own and his sons arses

Not sure how he can make out the club abandoned him in his hotel room?? It’s not that difficult for his agent/agents to get him on an EasyJet flight to and from Nantes to Bristol after he turned down the clubs offer

It so sad that a young life has been lost in an accident, however it has brought to everyone’s attention how money grabbing agents/fixers make massive fees out of doing very little especially in bringing foreign players over to the premier league

I hope something can be done about these brokers/agents the whole thing stinks

I think you could easily do a statement analysis on this interview and find it's full of holes.

He contradicts himself several times eg: "I'm not a victim... BUT."

Then he uses unnecessarily strong words like "abandoned" and "disgrace.

I also find the assertions such as "Mark considering his future as an agent" in very poor taste. He's not going to stop being an agent is he?

We've seen the texts; the McKay's are not emotionally attached to their clients; just the money.

The only thing the club have done wrong is get involved with the wrong agents...

I hope Willie keeps wiggling and saying more to the media. Only adds to his own demise.

Football agents are parasites as far as I am concerned. Just another example of the greed that is rife throughout the sport.

Very poor of Mackay to say Cardiff City "abandoned" Sala in a hotel to sort his own travel arrangements.

This guy makes my blood boil. One hand he's saying don't blame the pilot he's lost his life and that's exactly what he's done with his previous comments. He's passing the blame to Cardiff, the pilot anyone but him and his son. The guy is complete and utter scum and is confirming everything we thought of them.

No I don't ask if the taxi driver has a licence but then I'm not worth 17mil

If I was organising a taxi for a pro footballer then yes I would want to know exactly who the driver is. Also what Car they were using.

Your family arranged the flight. Sala took your word that you would get him to his destination alive and safe. You booked a pilot that didn't have a suitable licence to fly the plane in those conditions.

The buck stops with them in my opinion.

Most agents make Arthur Daley look like Britain's most honest man.
