Locking a thread?

Wed Feb 27, 2019 10:01 pm

To be fair to dahboy, whilst I don’t agree with most of what he says, for Sven to send him a private message is wrong. As the we always say everyone is entitled to their opinion, and Sven shouldn’t be private messaging anyone unless it regarding something private. Which it’s seems the ones to dahboy were not.

Disclaimer: if I’m wrong and it was a private matter and not regarding his negativity I apologise

This Sven character was also incredibly rude to me the other day when I was trying to explain the Sala transfer. Clearly something going on behind then scenes with him.

No idea of the details of any of the above but I can confirm that Sven is an absolute top guy.

Sven just doing his job as a mod, nowt wrong with the guy, he’s messaged m privately about a few things and always taken it on the chin.

The clue is in the words: “private message.”

I locked the topic because it seemed wrong to have it on the forum in my opinion. If there’s any issue, the two can sort it out via private message. Doesn’t have to be there for the rest of us to see.

Would also add that it didn’t sound like there was any issue, but others tried to turn it into that.

Either way, should be between the two of them.

I would also lock this topic but I’m sure someone else would start a topic on the same subject, so no real point this time - and I can’t really be bothered to spend all night locking topics

Sven is class.

Dahboy is a wanker.

Sven wins.

Leave Sven alone! He invented "Svenism", and is a legend. Always found his PM`s polite and to the point, so dont se the hassle.
Nice to have a moderator communicate with us on the flor :ayatollah:

I vote for Sven too, and I don't even understand what it's about. Sven is one of the good guys !

I believe on a forum if the Private Messaging option is enabled, then a member can PM anyone he wants to PM, regardless of if it's about a cat up the tree or an update to 3.2.5 phpBB,

Forum admins and mods usually use PM's to keep things running smoothly, forums that have admins who start publicly shooting people down end up looking like they are ran by a Kim Jong Un styled dictator,

Oh dear!

Guys, apologies but I've been out most of the day I and very late home, so only saw this in the early hours...

Not sure what this has to do with 'Bluebird-in-Jackland' (unless they are mates?) but I noticed a comment from him to Dahboy earlier in the day (Weds) asking (quote) "Have you had a 'pm' yet?" to which the response was "Not yet but I will lol"

As now proven, I had a feeling it was connected to me but I can genuinely say I did not 'pm' Dahboy

What I did do was issue a 'warning' for starting several threads on the same subject within minutes of each other after last night's disappointing result; and a look at other posters responses will show I wasn't the only one to think it both pathetic and unnecessary

Therefore, any comments he (and Bluebird-in-Jackland) made in other threads that refer to me sending him a 'pm' are untrue (that's the polite version) and negates Dahboy's childish but in reality ineffective comment in another thread that read (quote) "Please stop sending me private love messages I'm already in a relationship"

He might well be (in a relationship) but I'm sure he can use his left hand as well! ;)

The only thing on here that’s a bit weird, is that recently some fruit loop has changed a couple of my posts..
No harm done..but why would anyone want to do that. It’s my post, not theirs.

Dave67 used to do it, but that was to try to suit his twisted views..

Sven, as an old mod on a forum and a chat site I feel that there is absolutely no need for you to have to explain yourself, the reasons being 1) you’re a mod. 2) you’re doing the job required of you, 3) Dahboy is just another childish asshole on here and 4) you’re a mod (I know it’s on twice and it’s meant to be)

Keep up the good work

Re: Locking a thread?

Well I'm with Sven on this, pulled me up the other day as I responded a bit too vigorously to another post and have to say his PM was polite and self explanatory.

Don't see many volunteers for the moderator posts so keep up the good work Sven otherwise anarchy will take hold.

Re: Locking a thread?

Its annoying when people start multiple threads on here rather than just respond to a thread already started so if the mods are pulling people up on that I salute them, as it makes and keeps the board cleaner

I’ve never received a pm off Sven because I’m a law abiding citizen.

No you are right. He told me to stop all negative comments in my posts.

Basically Mr Sven you told me to stop having my own opinion? How does that work then? Surely negative or positive is a matter of opinion. Just don't reply if you don't like.

Me or Sven?

If me that was today I did that.

It’s not that you have an opinion it’s that you say the same thing over and over and it’s always negative. Plus you seem to take delight in us losing. You aren’t a cardiff supporter.
