Whilst all the refs in the prem are generally awful. Kevin Freind is perhaps the worst of the lot. Refereeing in this country needs a major overhaul starting with replacing these unfit middle aged men with younger people. VAR should also work like it does in Rugby so the crowd and those watching at home can hear the communication between the refs and the VAR officals and also the refs and the players (this would also hopefully make the players treat the ref with more respect in the pitch). Finally the refs should have to do a press conference a few days after the game explaining their decisions and apologising for any obvious mistakes they made. Managers should also be able to critisize the refs mistakes without the FA acting like the Gestapo and trying to silence them with fines.
