This could possibly give us another "opportunity" to hand that third nasty place to someone else.

Sacking an established manager , particularly in the middle of the season is usually a bad move in practical reality.
I said what would happen to Fulham if they did that and it's happened .
Leicester are only seven or eight points above us and that sort of advantage can soon be thrown away. I'd expect them to suffer at least three embarrassing and unexpected losses with any new manager at this point in the campaign , but the only thing is that they've got remarkably easy fixtures .

I'm hoping that they'll improve dramatically as Manchester United did ,( unusual but possible ), in which case they can help us because they'll be playing all the strugglers except us.

it's a typical sacking of the modern era really. poor short term form, perceived boring football and boring demeanour, and the mob gets it's way, despite a good track record and a mid table team in no real risk of relegation. for this reason, if he's not the right man then wait until the end of the season when you've guaranteed PL status.

it's a very stable, well run club, so they are in a better position than most to risk sacking a dependable manager, but it's the wrong decision in my view. i think puel is an underrated manager. he's a results manager, but people sometimes want a bit of excitement on the way.

well stoke certainly got that, as did blackburn, aston villa, and host of relegated teams who were previously in mid table mediocrity.
