You'd like to think so but Paterson has to be in the side for the simple reason that every free kick, throw in, goal kick and long ball is aimed at his head.

Until we change our main style of play then there will have to be somebody up front trying to win headers and Paterson is the only player we have who can do that.

i thought over the last few games we had changed our style with reid and niasse connecting and keeping it more on the ground hence our back to back wins, with reid benched last night the little understanding that reid and niasse had started to build was scrapped in favour of what we saw last night, and Morrison disrupting the back line to boot.

You're right and that's what makes last night's team selection so strange.

I think the majority of fans would want this pairing up front.
We have to be a little more adventurous at home I believe and we can’t afford to have Zahore isolated up top. He needs support.

Zahore has to start Oumar Niasse can’t play Everton player, we need Zahore as a target man, Hoilet & Reid playing off him.
