I couldn’t give a toss how we play. As long as we’re competing. What happens if we change our style and get hammered, do we revert back to how we play now?
Playing the ‘warnock Way’ has got us to where we are, why change it?

We won the previous two games. We were competing until the 60th minute actually. But two mistakes in as many minutes led to them being out of sight.
But my point is if we played a different way and get thrashed what do we do then?

It’s all a matter of opinion,I don’t think we were competing,I can take on board losing a game of football,my point was the style of play, and regardless of being beaten by them,I found Watford’s type of football good to watch, and again yes I agree even if we switched styles,it doesn’t mean we would win,but lumping the ball forward even when we manage to win I don’t find it entertaining

It worked for Swansea, who were good to watch for a number of seasons. Also Fulham last season were great, but this year it hasn’t worked.
I enjoyed watching Watford last night, they played great. Man City can play a good long ball game at times.
I’d like to see us try, when NW goes. It’s good football to watch.

Said it from the start our style of football is far from how you need to play in this league.

We changed our style with niasse playing but then makes 3 changes and revert to type lets go back to more adventurous style as Everton are no great shakes at moment, pick same team but Ken for niasse tues can see only a defeat! :old:

We don't have the players to play a passing game. Our game is to defend and then lump it forward at the first opportunity. I don't think we put 3 passes together against Watford. They played us off the park. Our style worked in the Championship but I am afraid we are now up against footballer and managers who promote the passing game.

Watford’s style suited Troy Deeney, would you have said he could have fitted into Watford’s style of play, everyone states him as just a big lump,a type of target man

Yes it was hugely entertaining....and effective. I would love to see us playing in a style like Watford but it's not feasible with our current squad. However, if we manage to stay up I think we should make efforts to improve our quality and play better football.

To change the style of play we need a new team. Apart from Camarasa, Reid and Hoilett we have no one who is really comfortable on the ball. This should have been addressed in the summer. Easier said than done, I know, but too late to change style now with this group. Not knocking Warnock, as he's performed a miracle to get us this far, but I'm not sure if he's the guy to change the style.

We haven't got a style of football you numpty,Warnock doesn't have enough of an imagination to have a style of football and before you say Hoofball is a type of a style it isn't,its an abomination with no place for it in the Premiership

Mr Tebb

Can't you get your point across without being personal and condescending. Its not what you say but always the way you say it.I'll bet some of the lads on here would love your home address. It's about time you started behaving like the senior citizen you are as you are no example to the youngsters who read your posts.Whatever would your long suffering Mrs say.

Its difficult no doubt about it, do we have the players to play a different style? I think possibly but im not certain we would have gained as many points trying to play. I still think this group of players can give more though given the chance.

but many teams have tried to change style, usually from Pulis to another manager and have struggled. Then you look at Fulham, coming up with their free flowing football and investing heavily and have massively struggled. There is no easy answer especially for a club like us trying to stay in the premier league.
