A forum for all things Cardiff City

Then I’m confident here’s something going on more than footballing reasons. Like Warnock mentioned the other day about certain players at city having Warnocks son as their agents, does make you wonder if there’s a financial reason he will do whatever he can to fit an out of form (before and probably after his appendicitis) Sean Morrison into a team that never reallly needed him today. Back to back victory’s and conceding 1 goal in 2 games without him, for him to just barge manga out of his favoured position for literally no reason other than a panicky decision because Warnock is scared about Bruno not winning headers against Deeney.
Morrison is not at fault for the loss today, however playing him I truly believe made us lose by a larger margin than we otherwise would have.
I guess Peltier has a knock, in that case put Bacuna there, or Patterson who actually has been getting better defensively as the seasons gone on. Don’t just chuck Mozza in there, we leak goals and his pace was one of the reasons before this game. There’s only one Neil Warnock and I love him to bits, but he really disappointed me today

Yes I think Morrison is a bit short of pace in the premiership

Watford are good team that caught us on the break while we were trying to chase the game, and I don't think the goals were down to Morrison.
Remember the first game without Morrison, we got stuffed three nil by a shit Newcastle !!!!

Ironically I don't think that the problem with Morrison playing was a defensive one. For me, whilst he does lack pace, the biggest problem is his distribution.
When we had Manag and Bamba there the difference was stark in that both were comfortable with the ball at their feet and neither had a problem stepping forward with the ball and/or spreading it wide.
Morrison's distributions consist of hopeful clearances, with his head or feet, that almost unerringly land at the opposition's feet.
There is no doubt we would not have got promoted without Morrison last year but, at the moment, he isn't one of the two best centre backs at the club and Warnock may have to be brutal in making that decision.

Nonsense he just rates Morrison and Peltier was unwell.
For me the mistake was more about the way we set up than playing Morrison. Changing the whole system along with that odd man marking. Warnock could have played Morrison and just moved Manga to Right back or just played Bacuna as a right back.

I think morrisons inclusion was not needed bacuna at right back in place of peltier manga and bamba centre and Bennett left back we virtually where playing 5 at the back with Morrison and bacuna and they where all getting in each others way morrison replaced gunnarsson on the team sheet not needed imo.
