2) We don't know if any players who were dropped from the team that beat Southampton are carrying knocks.
3) If we were given the penalty and scored, would we have lost and would the team selection have been slated?
Warnock has been great so far and everyone was full of praise after the previous two wins, so lets stop all the pessimism and let him get on with the job.

1) We can't afford to rest players for "winnable" games we have to put our best team out in every game and try to win that game. We can't afford to be "writing off" any games now. we need to be looking to get points from EVERY game, even those against the top 6 teams, not just writing them off.
2) May well be that Peltier was injured but Gunnar and Reid were on the bench tonight so they can't have been injured.
3). If we'd been given the penalty and scored (not a given as Ralls would probably have taken it) we would have lost 5-2 as Watford were miles superior to us in every facet of the game.

1) Perhaps Warnock thought that a draw was more likely against Watford and a win against Everton. Do you play for 6 points and risk getting nothing or play for four and probably get three?
2) Peltier was possibly injured as he wasn't on the bench. Gunnar didn't fare too well in the last game and everyone has been calling for the inclusion of Murphy. Perhaps Reid was rested for the Everton game.
3) The penalty was when we were only down by one goal, so it's unlikely that we would have still let in another 4 if we scored from the penalty. Seventy percent of any sport at the top level can be attributed to what's going on in the brain. Hence, teams getting totally outplayed that get a fluke of a goal suddenly have confidence and become the better team.
IMHO there's a fine line between keeping players up to speed with game time and burn out of players through mental fatigue. The physical fitness shouldn't be a problem with keeping the best players in the team, assuming no injuries, it's the mental fatigue. Everyone has peaks and troughs, with very few playing brilliantly game after game. I trust Warnock to manage the team as he thinks best and not slate him after one poor result, especially after the previous two wins. Bournemouth trounced Chelsea, yet we beat them two nil, so I'm inclined to give Warnock some slack.
