Harry Arter

Fri Feb 22, 2019 9:09 pm

This will be a controversial comment and I don’t mean to offend anyone. But am I the only one that doesn’t see what Harry Arter does apart from running around like a headless chicken and flying into tackles? I can’t fault his heart and determination, but I don’t see what else he does

No goals, no assists but untouchable just like big Sean. Not offending me mate, a very expensive waste of a loan.

Worst performance of the season by Arter, I agree he’s like a headless chicken at times. As an attacker with him defending all you have to do is a simple pull back. But he does hurry them up which works in our favour at times. Ralls has no support from anyone tonight in that midfield.

This is the reason he’s not at Bournemouth. He’s great in a three but in a two he leaves us exposed. He busts a gut and looks great running around though

One bad game and they're out!

The guy is our best midfielder behind Victor.

First name on the teamsheet for me. Presses, harreses and generally uses the ball well. If others matches his work ethic we would be fine.

Couldnt agree more - another Bryson - loads of headless chicken running around with no end result. Should be dropped for Tuesday's game ( along with Murphy ).

Yep one mistake tonight which was bad even he knew that he looked so pissed off with himself which he should be
Obviously people dont notice the good stuff always see the bad stuff

It’s a matter of perspective. Like I said, you can’t fault his heart and determination. But other than his harassing I honestly don’t see what else he does. Tonight isn’t his first bad game for me. He’s had several, but because he runs around and puts himself about a lot of our fans don’t see it. He’s like Robbie Savage but with less technical ability if you ask me. And I never rated Savage

Our set up doesn't suit his style it's that simple, time and time again our midfield went missing and Watford just waltzed through.

Enlighten us as to why people questioning that should mean they don't understand football in some way??

Always ‘guaranteed’ a booking?

Pathetic post.

"Don't see what he does"

Yesterday Warnock dropped the ball with his team selection. Arter is quality at what he does. But you also need the total opposite player to him next to him. Camarasa for example.

Yes, yesterday set up didn't suit Arter. But no one knew what the other player was doing. Warnock is at fault for that.

Made a comment a few weeks ago that Ralls is better than Arter at almost everything, got laughed at. People failing to realise Arter has done f**k all for months and because he's on loan from Bournemouth he must be good.

Absolutely, the formation hindered us last night and we lost the central midfield; Arter with Ralls and we were always going to be overrun.

Arter is one of our better players.

Take him out of the team a few weeks and see the difference.

Watford game proved the fact. He played a advanced role and we got steamrollered with only Bacuna and Ralls sitting

Yeah and those two hardly enamoured themselves in glory either. Not easy for Bacuna, only still getting to know everyone but Ralls - well there's been enough said this season about him, from all sides of the argument.

Manga keeps making mistakes.

I think manga has been brilliant , easily our best centre back.

I feel for him , constantly being moved in and out of his best position to accommodate a poor Morrison. One week hes right back playing next to Morrison, the next hes centre back next to Bamba.
He never has the same winger in front of him when he is at right back to develope a partnership. Same as at centre back with the defensive midfield in front of him.

Warnocks chopping and changing has caused a lot of our poor goals due to lack of understanding amongst players.

I wouldn't blame Manga at all if anything he has worked miracles filling in a role that does not suit him

Really ?
He make the odd mistake but nowhere near the amount of the other defenders. When he does its normally because he is trying to cover others or has been left helpless by others ( ie - Bennetts awful free kick against Watford allowing Delafaou to run at him unexpectantly )

Manga and bamba are being let down by those around them and the manager imo

Only sensible opinion I've seen really. He's not had an awful game till Watford and we MUST play a midfield 3 where IMO he can't be dropped.
