Niasse is match tied, he can’t play against his parent club Everton.

Boss Neil Warnock is hoping to welcome back Lee Peltier and Bobby Decordova-Reid after the duo recently came down with illness, while Victor Camarasa faces a late fitness test over an ongoing calf issue.

Oumar Niasse is ineligible to face his parent club, meaning that Danish striker Kenneth Zohore looks to be in line for his first start since September.

Everton:

Meanwhile, Everton could be set to welcome back experienced duo Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines, but Yerry Mina is sidelined for a month with a foot problem.

TEAM NEWS 26/02/19

Neil Warnock is also optimistic on the fitness of Lee Peltier and Bobby Reid.

Asked whether the pair had the chance of taking on the Toffees, Warnock replied: "Yes I think so. Pelts is probably the worst one. He ate something yesterday and hopefully he doesn’t bring it back up today!"

About Everton

Everton Football Club is a football club in Liverpool, England, that competes in the Premier League, the top flight of English football. The club have competed in the top division for a record 116 seasons, missing the top division only four times (1930–31 and three consecutive seasons starting with 1951–52) since The Football League was created in 1888. Everton have won 15 major trophies: the League Championship nine times (fourth most as of 2017–18), the FA Cup five times (ninth most) and the UEFA Cup Winners Cup once.

Formed in 1878, Everton were founding members of The Football League in 1888 and won their first League Championship two seasons later. Following four League Championship and two FA Cup wins, Everton experienced a lull in the immediate post World War Two period, until a revival in the 1960s, which saw the club win two League Championships and an FA Cup. The mid-1980s represented their most recent period of sustained success, with two League Championships, an FA Cup, and the 1985 European Cup Winners' Cup. The club's most recent major trophy was the 1995 FA Cup.

The club's supporters are known as Evertonians. Everton have a rivalry with neighbours Liverpool, and the two sides contest the Merseyside derby. The club has been based at Goodison Park in Walton, Liverpool, since 1892, after moving from Anfield following a row over its rent. The club's home colours are royal blue shirts with white shorts and socks.

Niasse isn’t available as it’s his parent club and Camarasa is still on the injury list, after tonight’s showing I can’t see us getting anything against Everton tbh :(

Well if it is we're relagated .

I notice that the vote here shows that people are expecting to lose, and that going by postings successful football is very low down people's list of interest around the club.

The manager has made it clear that he's only kept on going at his age to complete his commitment to try and keep us up, but I wonder what he'll do if the rats desert what they have so easily accepted to be a sinking ship .
- well, rats will be rats I suppose.

As I warned recently, it looks horribly likely that off field events have led to a negative mindset which cannot succeed at this level .

We need to forget the all round clusterfuck against Watford and repair the damage together. To do that, the twelfth player needs to have the same resilience and commitment as the other eleven .

SIR JIMMY SCHOULAR

it depends again on neils team sheet if morrison is there and no reid or gunarrson and plays patterson upfront on his own and no zohore some people may choose to stay and watch in the pub, it was a horrible feeling watching us buckle on friday night, and if neil trots out the same team it will be hard to be enthusiastic, zohore needs to start with reid, i think when we started without reid friday it gave watford all the ammo they needed we had set up to defensively and they could see it. We need to be attacking every game know we are running out of games we could hopefully win so imo attack attack.

Well I agree with an awful lot of that Monty.
I'd do something very similar myself actually but we've got to remember that we've got a man in charge and if he recalls Omar Bogle, plays him in goal then puts Etheridge and Healey in midfield , I'll support his decision.
We don't know what made him pick that team the other evening, so maybe he had no choice .
I'm sure he wants to win games and he's got forty or fifty years experience and knowledge in working out the best way to go about it.
I so much agree with playing Bobby Reid, but without Niasse , who's the holding man ?
Ken is capable on his day but I've yet to be convinced that he's "back". Morrison obviously needs a bit more recovery time and so we know what the answer is there.

I think he did the right thing against Watford actually, but it just went badly wrong. How could anyone expect the cock ups that led to all those goals or the crowd walking out and causing the team to let their heads drop for the first time.

I'd put at least the last two goals down to our " supporters" actually .

Never mind, what's done is in the past , so let's turn that around with Everton.

SIR JIMMY SHCOULAR

the thing is that reid and gunarrson where fit they where on the bench things obviously have to change when the players in question are injured but on the bench they are deemed fit to play, camarassa well that's different not on the team sheet but that was a bit weird as well he had a run out for the last 10 at southampton then out again, unless he felt somthing but that's becoming another zohore saga, i disagree in a nice way about zohore though, i think he needs to be on from the start and when knackered bring him off because niasse will be back in for wolves saturday.

The absence of Peltier prompted plenty of raised eyebrows ahead of the Friday night's defeat, and Warnock admits that had the in-form full-back been fit, he may well have decided against handing a return to skipper Sean Morrison.

Morrison came in for criticism for a lacklustre display against Javi Gracia's men, but Warnock insists the captain still has plenty to offer.

However, when asked if the centre-back would have started had Pelitier been fit, Warnock admitted: "No he wouldn’t have. We worked on that on Friday but as soon as Pelts went down, I asked Mozza if he’d give us an hour and he ended up playing the full game.

"It was good for Mozza to get 90 minutes, a difficult 90 minutes for him really. When you’ve won two on the trot, you come back in and concede five, it’s easy to criticise him. When you look at the goals we conceded I think there were far worse situations than Mozza but that’s life I’m afraid."

Who is the referee?

Kevin Friend will take charge of proceedings at the Cardiff City Stadium.

This will be the fourth City game of the season for Leicester official, who previously took charge of the defeats to Spurs and Bournemouth, as well as the win over Fulham.

We were exposed at the back very easily by Watford due to Morrison's lack of pace and poor positional play during counter attack. If Morrison plays every team will use this weakness. He's been found out.

Re: TEAM NEWS “ CARDIFF CITY v EVERTON “ MATCH THREAD

Ref is Kevin Friend who is hot and cold with us. 2 wins and 2 draws from last 4 games.

Gave a soft penalty at Bournemouth but sent off that Leeds player last season at CCS.

Cannot recall if he did anything amiss when we lost 0-3 to Spurs or beat Fulham 4-2.

That would be great but if not, I'd actually prefer a Saints win to a Happy Clapper win; it keeps the gap to the bottom two! :thumbright:

Morrison still there, Harry Arter on the bench and no Camarrassa anywhere.
