Cardiff City offer to return Emiliano Sala's body to his family in Argentina



Vincent Tan has revealed Cardiff City have offered to arrange for Emiliano Sala's body to be taken back to the striker's family in Argentina.

A body was recovered from the plane wreckage found in the English Channel earlier this week.

And following an identification process, Dorset Police confirmed the body found was that of the Bluebirds' record signing Sala. You can follow live updates on the story here.

Cardiff City owner Tan says the club will continue to work with the Air Accident Investigation Branch to determine the cause of the crash that led to Sala's disappearance, along with that of the aircraft's pilot David Ibbotson, who remains unaccounted for.

And the Malaysian says the Bluebirds have vowed to assist Sala's family in any way possible.

"May Emiliano's sole rest in peace. I'm personally very sad over this incident," Tan told Talksport.

"This fine young man would have been very happy and successful at Cardiff City where he would have made a new home and many friends.

"Cardiff City will continue to work with the AAIB and investigators to find out how the crash happened and to assist Emiliano’s family.

"We have offered to them to arrange to take Emiliano back to rest with his family in Argentina.

"Even though he will be there, his soul will always be in our hearts.

"We feel a tremendous loss, but the biggest loss is borne by Sala’s family."

An inquest will be opened into Sala's death in due course.

And so we should, Sala was our player and travelling back to us, its the least we can do

We are a club united in grief and have shown the footballing world that we are all united as one.

From Tan to Choo to Dalman to Warnock to us fans, we have shown grace and dignity throughout this horrendous ordeal, I could not be more proud of our club

I know Tan Sri Vincent Tan did completely the wrong thing with the rebrand, but he and his support team are probably some of the greatest people to ever control/run our club prior and since that bad business decision and, through this diabolical chapter have been truly outstanding. Whatever happens to our club over the next four months I am sure this terrible outcome will make us more galvanised than ever to succeed as a club in memory of Emiliano and other people whether they have been fans, players or connected to the club in other ways and are no longer with us.

For the removal of any doubt , this man isn't a French speaker. I addressed him in French a while back and he didn't respond in that language . Well, that one thing, but here's the more conclusive thing - to us the term "you never" instead of " you didn't " is a slang term in English which doesn't translate from French usage.
It'd be " vous n'avez pas" , literally " you have not" ( or had not) , and in no imaginable way does that translate to " you never".

In short , I am satisfied that this gentleman is an uneducated fuckwit who finds it amusing to pull people's chains when they are upset about a nasty sudden death. I'm an unlimited freedom of speech enthusiast myself , but I wouldn't be worried if he got bounced off the forum .

I have been critical in cardiffs transfer dealings this season but hats off to everbody in the handling of this sad episode a credit to the club ,premier league ,and the football world in general well gone cardiff city.
