The family of Emiliano Sala have released the following statement.
We would like to thank you for all your signs of affection and support in what is the most painful time of our lives.
Seeing the whole world mobilised to support us in our search has been an infinitely precious help. Thanks to you, we are now able to mourn our son, our brother.
On this Friday morning, our thoughts go to David Ibbotson and his family, hoping that the authorities will do their best to find him.

The family have acted with huge dignity throughout their harrowing experiences of recent days
Closure will be small feed to them right now but now they can mourn their son/brother/friend without the uncertainty that was there before
Let's hope Dave Ibbotson's family can do similar soon
