Two Cardiff players most likely to leave this summer

Report: Stuart O'Keefe and Loic Damour planning to leave Cardiff City

Loic Damour and Stuart O'Keefe have played just 21 minutes of Premier League football between them for Neil Warnock's Cardiff City.

Loic Damour of Cardiff City controls the ball during the Pre-Season Friendly match between Cardiff City and Real Betis at Cardiff City Stadium on August 4, 2018 in Cardiff, Wales.

Two of Cardiff City’s fringe players are hoping to bid farewell to South Wales when their contracts expire at the end of the season, according to Wales Online.

Stuart O’Keefe and Loic Damour have hardly been key figures in the Premier League since Neil Warnock’s side were promoted from the Championship last May.

O’Keefe is on loan at League One outfit Plymouth Argyle while Damour has played just 21 minutes of football in the top flight and hasn’t been seen since the 4-1 thrashing at Liverpool back in October.

And Wales Online report that the midfield duo want to leave Cardiff at the earliest opportunity. They are due to become free agents in the summer and it seems more than likely that they will depart for absolutely nothing – and with hardly a trace.

22nd August 2017, Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff, Wales; Football League Cup Second Round; Cardiff City versus Burton; Stuart O'Keefe of Cardiff City in action

O’Keefe has been a Cardiff player for four years now, moving to Wales after a spell at Crystal Palace. Damour, meanwhile, arrived in 2017 on a free transfer from French lower league outfit Bourge-Peronnas.

If Cardiff’s plans are successful, they will be able to strengthen their midfield by signing loanees Harry Arter and Victor Camarasa (below) on a permanent basis in the summer.

I'd be suprised if we decide to keep Connolly, Madine and Kadeem Harris imo.

Wouldn't usually say Kadeem but when you look at the fact we've got Murphy, Mendez-Laing, Patterson, Reid & Hoilett who can play that role now, I'd imagine we'd probably strengthen atleast 1 winger if we stay up.

Hoilett might even leave too, I'm not convinced another season with us will do any one any good. He'd want to be playing alot and I can't see us offering him much game time similar to what happened with Whitts

Got to agree hoilett blows hot and cold and he's not a key player.

not sure about Madine , think it will depend on what division we are in...

loaned him out very early in the January window with a number of clubs interested. so had we been keen to sell we could have strung it out like everyone else seems to ?

Good luck to them.
