Picking Arter and Camarasa

Wed Feb 06, 2019 8:58 am

I'm a big fan of both of these players and they have been two of our most consistent performers this season, but.....should we change a winning team? Not just a winning team, but one of our best performances this season. Ralls had his best game in the Premier league, Gunnars was good and Paterson effective playing wide. It may be that Camarasa isn't fit yet, so most would say Arter for Ralls, but that would be very unfair to Joe.

I'd go for Arter in for Ralls and Camarasa on the bench. He's coming back from an injury so no need to rush him. Can always play second half if needed.

Love Joe, but Arter is a genuine premier league player.

Can see Holliet for Murphy with Camarasa off the bench at some point

Is camarasa fit? Weve had no updates whatsoever about it?

All down to how fit they are. If Camarasa and Arter are fit they have to play, if there is any doubt then they don't.

We are now at the crucial point in the season and we need our best eleven out there for every game now, no "saving them for the next one" because this run of games is the one that will decide our future not home against Chelsea and Liverpool or away to Manure.

Before their absences nobody would have questioned whether Arter or Camarasa should be in the first eleven and that hasn't changed, particularly for Arter as he hasn't even been injured just couldn't play against the club he is loaned from.

So definitely Arter in for Ralls and then just whether Camarasa is FULLY fit, if he is he has to come in for Paterson, or maybe even Murphy, tough though that may seem.

As I said, next few games are huge so no room for sentiment and the players and manager will know that.

If your best players are fit then they have to play it’s as simple as that.

He only failed a fitness test before Bournemouth so he can’t be far away.

In order to play Reid it's going to be tricky to accomodate both Arter and Camarasa. Playing the latter wide right instead of Paterson is wasting his talent.
It's hard to drop both Ralls and Murphy, both of whom excelled v Bournemouth.
Still, it's a great dilemma to have.
