Emiliano Sala Suggestion

Tue Feb 05, 2019 6:20 pm

It's been a difficult and momentous period for the club and everyone connected with it, but is it time to join all the threads about it into one ?
Perhaps a whole new section could be created to discuss the matter, share feelings and make suggestions.

How does everyone feel about this idea ?

totally agree but do not think it will work , some people want to do more than has been done and therefore will want attention to their suggestion by creating a new thread.

Can't understand why so many posts about a person who never played for us, but just the one for a gifted bluebird who made around 70 appearances for us. Both died far too young and both in terrible circumstances.

Very good point Steve, but in fairness people are probably a bit "griefed out" at the moment.

Because it was such a tragic accident and the way it happened.

You're likely right but Steve Zodiak makes a very good point and we've seen such tragic news (as Matt Brazier) pretty much bypassed on this Forum in the past

we only had 6k or so regulars back then many of who have moved away, are ill , passed on ,lost interest etc..would guess a third ? { going on people I know might be a higher percentage } leaves 4k which is only about 15% of those attending / posting at the moment.

Steve, to be fair it's because with Sala it is current news.

Everyone knows my thoughts on the Sala situation, I have taken some flack for it on here.

As Dogfound says, most of our current fan base won't know who Matt was, I guess we all fall into that category from time to time, I know I do when older posters talk about players from the 70's, 80's and before, they normaly pass me by as I don't know who they are, before my time.
