Everton are on a bad run. Knowing our luck Silva will be sacked just before we play them.

That's usually the case

Possibly, but it worked out well against Southampton at home.

I believe Marco Silva will be given time, as the Everton Board 'poached' him in reality

They're not known as a 'sacking' club and won't want to have the pundits pointing the finger

it's a long time since moyes was there. they've sacked 4 managers in 6 years, and are now on their 5th in 6th years. they turn over managers as much as anyone else nowadays.

it's one of those clubs that if they perform to their potential they finish 6th or so. if they don't, they probably finish 12th or so.

the board no doubt expect top 8 as a minimum, so they are likely to get through plenty more managers in the coming years.

Chairman said on talk sport manager is there for long term so don't expect he's going anywhere soon as their chairman is one of the good guys in football.

if you judge on actions and not words, 5 managers in the 6 years since moyes says otherwise. they chop and change like the vast majority of PL teams do.

its only 5 if you include Moyes or caretakers.
Martinez was given 140 games.
Koeman , had a full season followed by a summer where he had massive financial backing only to end up in the relegation zone.

Sam Allardyce being the only one not in my eyes having a fair crack due to fan power.

so agree with sven and allan , they will give him more than this season.
