Don't think it matters if you don't intend to play them in league games does it ?
I don't know , but I can't see that anyone can limit your ability to employ whoever you like if they're not going to be registered in the first team. Maybe it covers development teams too, but I don't really know.

Perhaps taking a look before a perm in the summer, does have good reviews and is a nasty little fooker according to his manager.

Yeah I should think so, although he's only 18 isn't he ?
Mind you I remember a bloke Nigel ( Reese ? ) playing for us in the 70's.

Actually Dr Google tells me he was in the team that beat Real Madrid. I didn't think he was much good actually and according to Wiki he ended up playing for Bridgend.

He can play in the premier as he does not need to be registered in the 25 man squad because of his age 25+1

Only if he was signed before the transfer window closed surely?

He's a caretaker for a school I went to years ago. Well it was either him or his brother but the guy I'm on about aswell did play for city. Not sure how often he played but I'm certain he said he wasn't involved in the Madrid win. (Again they are brother so I may have the wrong one)

The Irish Times are now reporting that the deal was done before the Thursday transfer deadline but only announced (by Shamrock Rovers on their Twitter feed) today. Seems a bit strange to hold back a loan announcement for 4 days, but may be true. If it is does that mean he could play for the u23s and the first team (as an underage player)?

Their manager describes him as “a nasty little f****r”, so he will fit in well.

He was the player that crossed the ball for Brian Clark to head that famous goal.

Oh was he ? I was there in the Canton Stand just behind the goal but I didn't remember the cross - well remembered !
I'm sorry I said he wasn't much good - probably just put into the team too young upon reflection .
I met Brian Clark years later at Wembley Stadium. He was a smashing bloke and he was delighted to bump into someone who remembered that goal.
