We need to come from there with something.
They will probably be feeling sick after Burnley nicking a point from the last kick of the game.

Looks like they have improved though of late but is it a temporary new manager spike or permanent.

Simple as that. What we must do now is try for a "cup run". Each game we play we must try to win at all costs, irrespective of who we're playing. The mindset must be 150% to finish the "tie" in front.
That's possible ,irrespective of how games look on paper , as we know from famous cup runs including one of our own.
Certainly not how anyone should approach league games, but we've put ourselves in this position by wasting a few points against teams like Burnley and Huddersfield and so we need a slightly better performance in this second half of the season to make up for that.
Okay, I say 9 and I know that might not happen ,but that must be our clear intention at this stage . We need to win five or six games out of what's left really, so let's get on and get that done as soon as possible because each game that passes at this point takes away another bit of our remaining opportunity.
Anyone who's read my posts will know this is about the opposite to my usual stance but we've gotten ourselves into a certain position and there's no point in worrying about that or blaming anyone, except to learn from it for next season in the Premiership. We've got one way out now ,and we are capable of taking it , so let's go and do it gentlemen .

A win would obviously be huge but is it realistic ? I think it's our home form that will decide on whether we stay up or not.
If we lose against Southampton then we really need to be looking at getting at least 4 points in those two home games. It's just about holding your nerve at this point and picking up points where we can.
4 wins and a couple of draws does it for me (36 points) so it is certainly doable.

I think this could go to the last game or two of the season. I still believe as I have since day one, that we can finish in 16th or 17th place, which I think was always our most realistic target. I can't see Fulham or Huddersfield surviving, and after that it's any one of six to join them. A difficult time ahead, but I certainly think we can finish higher than Burnley, possibly Southampton as well. We are still in with a shout.
