ONE PLAYER FOR TWO POSITIONS

Thu Jan 31, 2019 6:02 pm

We have signed a utility player in Bacuna instead of buying a dedicated player for each of our problem positions.

He will fill in a right back and defensive midfield

Some might say its smart but in reality we have just signed another Lee Peltier

Good for squad depth but does not improve our starting 11 in my opinion.

Cant see us doing any more buisness, it feels like we have failed massively regarding our targets and our fall back was Bacunna as another utility player

3rd from bottom, 4 points adrift. Hard to sign players, really.

This. Alot of cardiff fans need to understand we're not a massive club with lots of resources, high up in the league.

Shit up for ducks sake

We have unfortunately lost a £15m signing in horrific circumstances I for one couldn’t care less if bacuna is the only business we do today

The club have been trying we can’t ask much more than that

Short memories some people and a lack of class from posters today in my opinion

I bet half of you don’t even attend games

The likes of you Dahboy and keano I’m talking about

Wrong
We are a premier league side with a decent budget and we can do better than average defenders from the bottom of the championship.

Some cardiff fans need to understand we are a big club in the biggest most lucrative league in the world.

That is a very big pull to a player

We're not a big club. We're a decent size club with alot of potential. Our budget is no where near as big as what our rivals seem to have and have a very high chance of relegation.

Lets see im a season ticket holder for over 30 years. Travel 4 hours every single home game plus a few aways. Good enough for you ?

What happened to Sala was awful but life goes on and the world does not stop for a tragedy.

Our club need to be profesional and carry on with the day to day buisness no matter how hard it is.
We cant just say ahh well we will just let ourselves get relegated now because we have sadly lost a player to a accident.

It might sound harsh but its true

You do realise the club have actually been in talks with players? This isn't fifa Ffs. It's not as easy as throwing money at the player and the players club them bingo! We bought a player.

We bought a single round peg to fill two square holes and it is a bit of a last resort signing in my opinion. Talk is cheap, obviously we have issues convincing players to join us. Maybe we need to hire somebody better at negotiating

But you said earlier that they've resigned to relegation then going on to acknowledge that we have spoken to players but they've fallen through. :laughing5:

I agree on the tragic circumstances and I can understand why we didn’t get a striker. However we are desperate for a defensive midfielder and a right back and we brought in a player from a relegation threatened championship side.

The club had to addresss this window because we didn’t address these positions in the summer. 2000 names and we get bacuna. I appreciate the happy clappers will be delighted it’s a signing but it’s not enough

Whilst the circumstances of this window are unprecedented, we haven’t addressed the lack of quality that we were left with as our manager had it in his head that firstly we were good enough, and secondly we couldn’t get better than Paterson, ralls and connolly etc.

Yes it’s not fifa but being unable to players, somethings not right.

Before everyone starts on my credentials, I have been a fan since the eighties, through good and bad, but whilst the circumstances of this window are unprecedented, we haven’t addressed the lack of quality that we were left with as our manager had it in his head that firstly we were good enough, and secondly we couldn’t get better than Paterson, ralls and connolly etc.

It's frustrating but cardiff fans need to realise were not Barcelona. And we have actually been in talks with a few players. Yes I'd want more signings but it is what it is. Sounds like we didn't to bad against arsenal gives me some hope.

Dreamer we are offering half the wages other clubs are some people just can’t see it

Everyone knows we need strengthening but the club has a budget is tried taking to players and that hasn’t materialised I will getbwhind the team as always promotion last season wasn’t great but imo too early without well over £100m In summer we were going to struggle

We have a chance to stay up and that’s great imo

Transfer dealings are not easy like some would believe on this site as someone else said is not fifa
