How can people be negative after yesterday's match?

Wed Jan 30, 2019 7:00 am

Played well, shots on goal, Niasse and Reid looked like a partnership that with time, could work. Lost 2-1 to a team that's home form is immense, the first game after the club has been rocked by an unprecedented tradegy. Our best player was missing. Give your heads a wobble.

Well said..
Some will only be happy if we win...
To me last night I was proud of the tram, the mama get/ coaching staff the fans.
Team gave their all, they fought TIL the end, created chances..
Whatever happens this season I have never been more proud to support this club..
We will always have a % of fans that are only happy to have a moan... how on earth anyone can moan about a football match when you think of Emiliano..
Let’s just hope he and David can be found.

Reid needs a haircut? It's getting in his eyes.

I honestly thought we played well last night, looked strong going forwards and looked strong at the back without Morrison. Feel we deserved at least a point out of that game.

Couple more games and they should be firing on all cylinders, Niasse’s 1st full game for us and 1st full game for a while too, can’t blame him for being a bit off pace but his grit and determination was clear to see, his hold up play is what we’ve been needing, I was even impressed with Zohore’s shot towards the end of the match.

Niasse finally gave us an outlet to relieve some pressure but he also made something happen when he did that. He managed to get us on the front foot with corners and throw ins he had no right to get. He looks a good signing to me.

Only negative was bamba and manga silly tackles that cost us and the fact we cant hit a barn door in the box , laings goal was quality and I think he needs a run of games

In fairness it's at the stage where it's points we need rather than a good performance with another loss...

spot on

Simply because we had lots of chances to score and could not hit a barn door with a shovel

Patterson is one of my favorite players but is looking out of his depth at the moment, shooting with his left foot from outside the box when he should pass and when he did shoot nowhere near.
We are truly in trouble now and unless someone starts scoring goals we are down.

I thought Niasse had some good touches and at least looked ok as a prem player. no one else looked prem to me the effort and grit is there for sure but when you take an unbiassed review of it the score line flattered us.

Lets hope for the goals to come against the other poor teams but the reality is now we are hoping 3 other teams play worse than us and having seen all the other teams play the only team we are even close to being better than is Huddersfield other than that we are certainly not better than anyone else we just need to hope we can beat the ones around us with our big hearts and grit as we just dont have prem quality.

yes a much better performance last night but lets face it we are 4points from safety because of goal difference and if southampton palace both win tonight it will look a lot worse im all for better performances but when we create a decent amount of chances dont score and loose again it still counts as another loss which really aint helping

Probably because it's quite obvious to everyone that only Huddersfield are worse than us, and they should have beaten us a couple of weeks ago. We're right in the shi@e , and need to sign some players this week.

If Southampton and Crystal Palace both win tonight it will be an historic evening which will be remembered for many years to come. Do you think that's likely to happen ?

Sorry but the scoreline did not flatter us. I think Arsenal will be feeling relieved that they got the 3 points as we should have scored at least 2 more goals. We have to take last nights performance into Saturday's game and roll Bournemouth over. Then it's game on!

Bournemouth thrashed Chelsea 4 v 0 tonight and we are going to roll them over? When is reality going to kick in? At best we'll get a lucky draw but I can't see much beyond the same 'we battled hard and were unlucky to lose again' headlines.

Saturday is going to be a completely different match, they’ve got to come to us, our 1st match at home since the events of last week. Not denying after smashing 4 past Chelsea it’s an up hill battle for us but they’re coming into a difficult situation that they cannot plan for, we felt it against Leicester and Man City were in the same situation in December as Bournemouth are facing Saturday
