Blues are staying up

No doubts about that.

Niasse up top with Reid. Niasse looks great holding the ball up and creates space for those behind. Imagine Camarasa allowed that much time.
Paterson RWB looked good.
Bennett looked good.
Ralls had a class game.

Just looked solid. That formation will get us points and goals.

Love the optimism but we are absolutely going down. Look at the other results tonight. Teams around us scrap points off the top 6. We have got 0 this season. Have no criticism of the club especially after last week but when no more signings are made on Thursday we'll all know we are relegated and the club have accepted it and are preparing for next year.

I agree.
Amazing what a difference a natural striker made. Strong as you say but also pretty nippy.

Who’s your 3 to go down then?? I hope your right mate but it’s not looking very promising, not being negative, just realistic, we’ve played our easiest games in Huddersfield and Newcastle, Fulham and Southampton to come but there both away, struggling to find where we are going to get AT LEAST 15 points from to stay up, with 1 goal in the last 5 games, it’s going to be a extremely hard. No doubt I’ll get some stick off this but people need to be realistic now, need a striker and a right back in by Thursday to give us a little chance, teams around us are spending 32m on a striker and Fulham are spending again, Huddersfield are down though, only positive really

Long way to go. Yes we've dipped but we're Cardiff City in blue, with Warnock, have the noisiest fans in the league and you know it's ALWAYS a rollercoaster with us! I think we'll begin to get the goals we need starting against Bournemouth on Saturday. :old: :old: :old:

I cant see us getting the points to stay up.
The others are too strong and we cant score a goal
It would take a huge turnaround in fortunes to make it now
If we lose to Southampton next week its game over

No it isn’t not with three points for a win.

Although I agree with your post, it was silly for you to post it as it seems positivity isn't allowed on this forum this season.

I’m hoping it will be a turning point.

The players are going to give everything and so are we. After Huddersfield and Newcastle it seemed like the fans were turning. Not anymore.

I'm still hopeful that we can finish in 17th place, which is as good as I thought we may be able to do when the season began. When you take goal difference into account, we are in effect 4 points from safety right now, and I don't feel we can afford to drop too much further behind. We need to start picking up points quickly, or we could find ourselves with a deficit that will be too big to claw back. The season won't end one way or the other with the Southampton match, but it is certainly a vital game, and one that could shape the rest of our season.

I went last night disappointed with the result.the performance and the shape of the team was excellent though.
If we maintain that type of performance for the rest of the season we will have a good chance of staying up.

Agree with this, with the exception that if we maintain that performance in every game we will definitely stay up. Obviously the variable is maintaining that performance. :bluebird:

I still think we will stay up!

As usual things always appear to transpire against us for whatever reason. However if we do go down we will lose Arter, Camarasa and Niasse. That’s not to mention the players we have who will want to stay in the PL.

It’s great to have the money in the PL but unless you at least spend a decent amount to give yourself a chance you are in effect tying one arm behind your back.

If we do go down yes we will have parachute monies but once again we are going to meet teams who are determined to spend to get promotion.

If we do stay up I think NW will stay if we go down he’ ll leave.

We can all hope but it’s probably to late on this window.

What is obvious is that if players we are after are no better than what we have?? Then it’s pretty obvious that some who we already have here are certainly not too.

Keep your fingers crossed Bluebirds.

 Great Post - We looked miles better, I didn't realise Bobby Reid could play like that, he was brilliant and caused them loads of problems !!!

We can do this keep positive and stick together, our team and Manager need us :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Stick together Bluebirds!

Staying up still depends on what we do today/tomorrow in the transfer market, bring in a RB, a midfielder and vitally a striker and get warnock to keep last nights approach towards opponents (stay on the front foot) then we will have a chance, if not we will go down without a fight.

I admire your optimism, there's a big gap between a decent performance and actually getting a result though.

The table is very telling, we have the 2nd most goals conceded and scored the 2nd least - unless things change a lot in the remaining games we are heading down as things are going...

Think even more now.

Fans, players, management and board are as one.

Great to see.

Your optimism has proven justified today. With Arter and Camarasa to return I think we can yet improve more, and I think Niasse and Reid will be an important combination. I also have high hopes for Bacuna. A win next week and Dreamland beckons.

I’m gonna struggle to stay quiet in the home end if we win.

Just need to do this four or five times more, which we probably can.
As I've said before , we now need a cup run mentality without any respect for whoever we have to play, whether it's Huddersfield or Manchester City.
( yeah I know we've already played Huddersfield twice).

After today we are in better position after games than before them so would say games went for us. Mostly.
