Agree. Niasse holding the ball up so well makes us look much better.

they are both 'decent' players, but ultimately decent players will fire blanks against most teams in this league.

reid i'm judging on his quality for us since the start of the season. he simply isn't a premier league striker who will reliably work the keeper on a regular basis, let alone score.

niasse we can work with because he has shown some decent touches here and there, but another is needed, as zohore has been almost totally ineffective this season.

I agree. I thought Reid looked good making some good runs and strong in possession.

Think that is a bit unfair. We played very well for periods of time tonight. I think given time, Reid and Niasse will be a good partnership. Why we insist playing Paterson I don’t know..

We haven’t had a shot on target against 2 bottom sides and really took the game to one of the big 5....

I’m more happy that Reid is creating chances. Might not be scoring but just like start of season actually look like doing something with him in side. Him and Mendez or josh we have a bit of pace...... there’s our channel

For all his excellent work in the air, I though Paterson was our weakest attacking threat. A few times he squandered decent chances with wild long shots. Excellent movement infront of him from Niasse and Reid.

We need to be starting with Reid as the second striker.

Patterson works his sock off but twice in the second half missed when looking to play in Reid was the better option. These two need to work on their link up play.

Niasse did very well in the target man role, but lacks a little sharpness in front of goal.

Zohore looked rusty but has the quality if he can get himself fit.

NML doesn't look like he can trap a bag of cement but can't half whip in a cross, and his inswinging finish was well struck.

Agrees i thought they both looked good together. Reid was getting into good positions and causing issues, hes barely played so we cant be too harsh on his finishing.

Niasse carried the ball well and linked up well with some nice touches. Hes definitely an improvement on what we have.

He’s right wing back who can win headers.

No other right back or right wing back has been in positions like that so much.

You need to go back to the days of McCormack - Chops - May be Jay .
Whitts and Ken Jones made double figs ( with the help of Pens ).

Our success has been on defence and players chipping in with goals over the last 5 years .

How many free kicks did Reid pick up out side the with a possible shot chance ?

He's mobile and he's quick off the mark that's a sign of a decent striker he just needs a run

Giuseppe Rossi is currently training with United as a free agent. Yeah okay he’s not always been prolific but as he’s on a free there would be no big transfer fee, and if it can be sold to him as a last chance shot at the Premier League I’m sure we could get him initially on a deal until the end of the season.
