Being linked with Yannick Bolasie, according to Daily Mirror and Sky Sports Transfer Centre

Wages apparently could be a stumbling block

No from me

Plus the fact we don't really need a new winger !!

A decent player on his day with Premier League experience. Would also be useful at Championship level if we go down.Warnock knows him as he played under him at Warnock’s second spell at Palace. Had his loan at Villa ended early last week, but I’m not sure whose idea that was. Out of contract this summer and Everton May be keen to move him on, but he’ll have to take a cut in wages to come to us.

Bit late to be linked you'd thought it's a get in there and sign a player time only couple days left of window... :old:

Always rated him when he's played us (particularly for Crystal Palace) but I'm not seeing the value in this...

Wouldn't say a flat out 'no' but it's not our neediest area and Yannick Bolasie is on big money :ayatollah:

I think link means the journalist has had a tip that we have shown an interest.
I think you have to sound out clubs regarding how much they would want , if they want to sell at all and of course find out the wage demands before you. get in there and sign players no matter what the cost.

Can play behind a centre forward, big powerful unit of a player and excellent dribbler. We need an out ball as we Do not have enough players who can hold onto it and beat players with dribbling on a consistent basis!

It's a yes from me if wages are right

I know but generally referring to fact that there is 3 days left of window and we are slower than a tortoise when it comes to getting players. Appreciate it's difficult now with the events
But still need to function as a club in regards to players coming in.

Trys hard but not been the same since his injury. Also we still have the problem of not having someone who can put the ball in the late if he does play and gets balls in the box.

Yannick Bolasie tells Everton he 'wants to stay in the Premier League' as Cardiff, Burnley and Newcastle join Crystal Palace in race for Everton star
Max Winters - MailOnline

Yannick Bolasie has told Everton he wants to move to a Premier League club

Yannick Bolasie has told Everton that he wants to move to another Premier League club in the January transfer window.

The Congolese winger exercised his right to cut short a season-long loan at Aston Villa earlier this month but appears unlikely to get his wish of regaining his place in the squad at Goodison Park.

Bolasie has returned to Merseyside aware that Toffees boss Marco Silva has four wingers ahead of him and, as a result, he will seek a move before Thursday night's deadline.

It appears he has his heart set on staying in the top flight and former club Crystal Palace have been touted as a potential destination with Roy Hodgson in need of some attacking reinforcements.

However, according to The Mirror, Newcastle, Burnley and Cardiff are all keeping a close eye on Bolasie's situation ahead of a potential bid for the 29-year-old.

Palace – who sold him to Everton in the summer of 2016 for £25million – would be his preferred destination but Middlesbrough are also an option, where he would be reunited with his former Eagles boss Tony Pulis.

Bolasie made a bright start to his Everton career but he suffered a horrific knee injury in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United in December 2016 that led to 12 months on the sidelines and he struggled to recapture form when Sam Allardyce played him last season.

Silva has never had space for him in his plans and explained recently: 'For sure, he knows (he won't play).

'I took that decision last summer because I realised that it would be difficult for him to get the minutes he wants.

'At that moment, it was difficult for him because he lost 2-3 weeks again due to his knee in pre-season and when we took the decision [to let him leave on loan] we expect the player to go and play. Let's see if he can do it here or at a different club.'
