A query for those in the legal profession. What court has jurisdiction over this, the French, UK or the channel Islands. Does the charge even exist in France or the Channel Islands. My grief isn't turning to anger. I'm adding anger to my grief.

It's arguable. They could each claim competence to prosecute and yes similar offences exist in all these places . Might be worse charges than that though once it all comes out. Doesn't need to be corporate by the way.
