Just seen the footage, nice of the police to stand there with cameras and record it kicking of whilst the mounted units slowly push them together before they realise the bloke was cut

Twitter. It won't link for some reason.
I can't believe people are using Stanley blades. No excuse for it.

Shocking footage of mass hooligan brawl ahead of Millwall vs Everton match

Saturday 26th January 2019

Millwall and Everton fans fight ahead of FA cup match

This shocking footage shows a mass brawl between two large groups ahead of the Everton vs Millwall FA cup tie.

The fight, involving at up to around 50 men, is filmed from a balcony above Hawkstone Road in Southwark, London, this afternoon.

The video shows one man staggering back clutching his face after another man appears to slash at him.

A witness told the ECHO the brawl happened this afternoon just a 15-minute walk from Millwall's stadium The Den.

The ECHO understands police received reports of a large-scale disturbance on Hawkstone Road.

Did you see any of the violence or do you know the man who was injured? Contact jonathan.humphries@reachplc.com or call 0151 330 5031

The Metropolitan Police also confirmed a man was found with facial injuries this afternoon after being slashed in the face in Hawkstone Road.

It is not clear whether the groups are linked with fans from either club at this stage.

There are also unconfirmed reports of Everton fans being attacked on buses, which have had their windows smashed.

Metropolitan Police said officers were called at 4.31pm to Southwark Park Road.

A witness told the ECHO the brawl happened this afternoon just a 15-minute walk from Millwall's stadium The Den.

A spokesman said: "One male aged in his 20s was discovered suffering from a slash wound to the face. He is being treated by London Ambulance Service; his injuries aren't life-threatening.

"Another male was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession with intent to supply.

Metropolitan Police said officers were called at 4.31pm to Southwark Park Road.
"His arrest is not connected to the male suffering the slash wound. He has been taken into custody.

"A shop front is believed to have been damaged following an altercation between a group of males.

"Officers remain in attendance."

Detective Inspector Darren Young, of the Metropolitan Police, added: “The behaviour of those involved in this incident is nothing short of disgraceful and those involved can be certain we will be working to identify them.

“We are aware of the video circulating online, which has quite rightly elicited shock and disgust. We are looking at it and urge anyone with information that could assist police to call 101 referring CAD 5117/26 Jan.”

The Force said there were no details of any further arrests or injuries at this time.

This is Millwall you're talking about !
Why's anyone surprised ? That's normal on match days due to the fact that anyone at that club who's mentally sub normal is considered a natural leader .

Utterly f-cking pathetic. Whatever is said about modern football, I certainly don’t miss this kind of overgrown school yard gang shit which should be consigned to the dustbin of history where it belongs.

I have a small amount of sympathy for the chap who got cut, but if you don't wanna get hurt yourself then don't go looking to hurt others.
