I know it's almost been a week now and the chances of finding Sala are extremely low/non existent.
But, I'm sat here tonight, still not giving up hope! I hope they find him somehow, somewhere alive!
What a story it would be to find him and for Emiliano to score the goal to keep us in the league.
Very sad week, but please come home Sala!

Even if its a body, it'll be closure for the family and a chance to put him to rest properly

I am feeling so so so much pain, I can't believe it all. I never met him, but seeing his photos of how happy he was to come and play for us has broken my heart, not been interested in football this week, God knows how his family feel. I prey to God for a miracle, Jesus rose Lazarous, I prey he could raise this man too.

Horrible to say but I dont think they even got out of the plane. I think they are at the bottom of the sea still in the plane horrible thought but i think it sank the second it hit the water. God I hope im wrong.

If the plane hit the water and sank then it's likely to have been moving at a sufficient speed to essentially fragment into pieces and I would have expected some wreckage to have been found by now. If on the other hand the pilot was able to glide and ditch with minimal speed and avoided cartwheeling, you would expect both to exit the aircraft if they were relatively uninjured, I can't believe the physics of a plane hitting water at speed from 2500 feet and not leaving a trace before sinking straight down

Part that is baffling me is if the pilot requested to drop down to 25000 ft but he wasn't at the altitude he thought surely the plane would have hit the water with a tremendous force that it would have broke up?

The problem is they'd have found parts. The Plane wouldn't have just sunk. It would have potentially hit the water at speed and caused lots of parts.
That's the odd bit. Also flares where spotted the morning of the crash. But they didn't see anything at the area where they come from.
Its all a bit odd.

IF Ibbotson descended into what he thought would be warmer air ( we know he was cleared down from 5000 ft) - We know he disappeared from radar at 2300 ft _ how do we know he didnt continue on track for many miles ( perhaps hitting the water at low level and a shallow angle with no horizon for a VFR pilot to follow / see) and the aircraft is MUCH nearer the mainland coast ?

If that was the case - you would expect to have some more radio contact as they descended. Unless of course the radio failed.
Lets just hope they get some news soon.
