Unfortunately, the reality of surviving ditching

Fri Jan 25, 2019 10:13 pm

in the sea at night is vitually zero! It is extremely a very difficult manoeuvre to achieve during the day never mind at night. Also, many pilots would not attempt such a crossing in day light with a one engined piston aircraft over that distance never mind at night in winter. The whole episode was amatuerish which has cost lives and thankfully city had nothing to do with it.

This has been covered over and over again over the last week, we don't need another thread on it, no offence.

No, not at all mate. we all want to hope and I'm as sad as everyone and want him and the pilot to be found. However, Guernsey would not call the search off lightly and stating the reality unfortunately.
