He's under contract with Chelsea untill June 2020, his transfermakt value is £16 million which I know you can swing a cat at but it's probably about right then he's got to be on £60/70k a week.

It makes no difference to Chelsea. They are letting him basically go free now as he wont have a contract when his loan is complete.
I'm sure they would consider a fee of say £5mill now rather than let him run down his contract on loan
I agree his wages could be a sticking point but if we want to remain in this league we need to deal with that
