I maybe sounding insensitive, but I have been very churned up about the loss of Sala and the pilot. the whole thing still seams so surreal, this is something that will be with us all for a long time yet, however the club, the fans and football has to pick itself up and it all moves on.
We are in the position that our main plank in our transfer strategy and survival is no longer in place. the club has stated it was looking to bring in other signings as part of the plan. With only 7 days left in the transfer window we really need to step up this action, especially as we have already moved out players in readiness of incoming signings, and dare I say it we have to try to plug the hole left by Sala's death.
The club have to move now Please dont shoot me down for this post, it made with all the best intentions

you are correct. have to say though im not sure I would be able to drum up enough enthusiasm to be running around selling our club to potential targets and having to negotiate.
so in the event we dont get anyone in i for one will accept and fully understand why.

We do at least have niasse which was unexpected. But it's just sickening we have to even contemplate more after the excitement last week

It was looking so good up until this unbelievable tragedy. Sala, Niasse, and maybe 2 or 3 others nearly across the line. I just don't know how we are going to come out of this.

with all due respect, it's not enough.

Yes I agree we are desperate for extra midfield cover and a defender, however, as a club I don’t think we should be looking for a striker. That’s too disrespectful as we have one, a record signing as well who at this stage is still our record signing until this is officially classed as otherwise.
We have a game Tuesday so prepare for that, with what we have and hope the last day of the transfer window will offer some new players.

Guys I think we need accept it is very unlikely that our club are going to be in good position after this window!! The only chance we've got is if Sala is by some miracle found. The uplift from that alone would be incredible.
Dalman is currently investigating not looking to secure deals. Also the 15-18mill doesnt just go away! Who knows the situation regarding that.
I'm sure the club is still in a state of shock and are trying work out the ramifications of this tragedy.
However right or wrong, can you really see the club signing a new 10mil striker when Sala is currently pronounced as missing?
This is a tragedy on so many levels most importantly on the loss of life.
I think we all need accept whatever happens at the end of the transfer window we will just come together as a family. It's the only way to get through this as a club.
No other club would have experienced this durring a transfer window. It's unprecedented and im sure the situation behind the scenes is changing daily
If we get a couple of siginigs at the end then so be it!! If not then we'll give the remainder of the season a go and we'll support the club all the way!! If we go down then it will be an exciting season next year trying to win the league. I think we've all had a big reminder of what's important in life.

I’m not his biggest fan, but should the club now recall Madine. Might have to go with what we’ve got under the circumstances. #LoveforSala.
Thu Jan 24, 2019 11:11 am
We won’t sign anybody else it’s impossible.
The people who do all that are up to there eyeballs at the moment and are going to be for a while.
Thu Jan 24, 2019 11:12 am
Have to agree, see if we can get Madine back and start again.
I really just dont see the club spending any further resources at this level until this tradgedy is sorted.
If we come together as a club we still have an almighty chance and there is no one better to deliver that than NW.

It is a tragedy all round. At the end of the day someone has lost a son and a brother Football is put on the back bench.
Saying that someone at the club negotiated Mark Harris going out on loan to Port Vale, unless it was done before this happened.

No. These matters are vital and must be attended to whatever else is going on.
I really would think that we need the Arsenal game postponed, and we must do everything possible to reinforce the team during the window . This is a separate matter to the one which we are understandably concentrating our attention upon, but it does no one any good to let the club fall to bits, even when under immense stress and emotional turmoil.

Time for Zohore to get his head out of his arse and step up.
We need him now more than ever.

Perhaps the FA will give us say an extra week after the transfer window shuts, maybe but I can’t see it.

I can't see that happening. Despite the tragedy it could give us an unfair advantage, so I don't think that'd ever happen.

It's all very sensitive but whatever the outcome - maybe we need to try and bring in a loan player for that position - or just go with what we have with Niasse.
Players, coaches, manager, staff and in fact anyone connected with either Cardiff or Nantes are going to be feeling awful with all this going on.
I think with the players we have and the coaching staff - the team spirit will be in fighting mood when we get back to it.
We owe it to everyone in involved especially the players and pilots family to not give up - to never give up and to play each game as if it was our last.
Im not one to get too emotional - but this has really struck a raw nerve with me. We live in hope that miracles can and do happen. We know the worst case scenario but we need to all stick together - we win together, lose together and shed a tear together.

Understand where you're coming from but we've got to be realistic.
I've been quite critical on the club previously in the time it took to get these deals done etc. But it's just not possible.
He's our record signing & has been a massive investment by the club.
Currently he is still our player and is missing so lets forget about us putting in any offers for strikers. Maybe the Sunderland lad as he was poetential for the future.
Forget the complexity of getting other transfers, the club's hierarchy will be focused on understanding and dealing with this tragedy.
Also the budget hasn't changed. We've still invested 18mil in a player.
Like previous posters have said if anyone else does come in then it might be players we're already down the line in signing before this nightmare happened. A CM/RB.
I know it's a talking point because the deadline is fast approaching, but I just don't think it's a priority for the club right now.

We have to move on, we have to fight every second from now til end of season to retain our status, to show the world , his family , what a great club we are, show whySala wanted to join our club.
We need to show on and off the pitch that we are a club worthy of his memory.
Neil Warnock need to bring in the players to hel those here to get the points we need.
We as fans need to support our club like we never have before..

Ultimately, CCFC is still a multi-million pound business that has to continue to function despite the tragic circumstances of this week. Not an easy task for those involved, but life goes on as it always does, although it must be difficult to maintain much enthusiasm for the task in hand right now.

No extension granted by the FA either

I guess the way they look at things is that tragedy is part and parcel of life. I suppose rules are rules, and if you start making exceptions you may open a whole can of worms. Not sure what to think myself, but I can understand their decision.

After a period of grief and total respect it has to be for the club to move on starting with a statement of intent,as fans we need to know how bigger hit financially the club has taken and how it impacts on any future transfer dealings the club may get involved with before the window closes,I'm not asking for a statement today or tomorrow but never the less a statement of intent by the club needs to be made
