Clutching at straws here. Is it possible sala and the pilot could be on the life raft sailing towards english or french shore? Refugees sail miles across oceans and survive to get to shores in europe. Could it be possible sala and the pilot are out there doing the same?

That is what everyone is hoping, but with the area already been searched, you would have thought it would have been spoted by now

Not really coastguards would have used tide data and the like to plot possible scenarios plus searched over 1000 square miles, would have found them I'm sure also you would think a life raft would have auto distress beacon ?

Are they searching the right area though? They are going off the most probable areas but did the plane fly further than what they thought so could they then be in an area further away from the area they have been searching? I think they should keep searching until they have covered the whole area of the sea between france and britain because they could be anywhere?

Well do have fix from radar so wouldn't have thought be that far away from the search area ans nowadays modern technology gives them all sorts of indications where to look, but yes should give it another 2 days just in case

I think the serch area was too close to Guernsey and Alderney tbh, they need to concentrate further north allowing for a more gradual decent gliding for a minimum of ten miles, they should be looking off the left hand corner
Last known position was just north of Casquets lighthouse (yellow icon in the purple oblong)

Another possible positive? Dont some people swim the channel from england to france? Not saying sala would but being on a raft surely possible to guide your self paddle?

the conditions at sea were treacherous, and in winter the water is very cold. let alone the crash landing into the sea. it will be the 4th day of searching tomorrow (if they decide to).

Miracles do happen. I truly believe in that and I've seen some, but that's the only way.
Truthfully, they probably went straight to the bottom, which can happen , and if so it's unlikely that anyone but a future diver will find the wreckage. It's also unlikely that will happen because there's a very very deep trough there.

"To be wrecked on the Casquets is to be cut into ribbons; to strike on the Ortac is to be crushed into powder... On a straight frontage, such of that of the Ortac, neither the wave nor the cannon ball can ricochet... if the wave carries the vessel on the rock she breaks on it, and is lost..."
