Team selection?

Sun Jan 13, 2019 12:02 am

I didn't go today as I was in work but do people agree with the team selection and it was the team who let Warnock down?

Don't get me wrong Murphy has been poor past couple games and I think Reid has more than deserved a start because he hasn't put a foot wrong when he has played but why go for defensive cover with NML and Hoilett against a team that didn't play any wingers or anyone with any real pace on the flanks? Baffling absolutely baffling.

It was more or less the team I expected. Warnock does have his favourites. It’s the substitutions he made, which made no sense. One of Reid or Murphy should have been brought on. Just gave the feeling that only one manager wanted to win that game.

The worrying part for me was the 30m worth of talent that was sitting on the bench and of all the players we bring on it a player who's been average in league 2. Baffling

Bluebird warrior, I think they are sitting on the bench for a reason. They have failed to deliver. A wake up call.

Failed to deliver on what? Reid has literally in Prem games shown his ability and made us look better in attack with his movement and link up play with the ball to feet and Murphy yes has gone off the boil but been one of our top 5 players for us and showed killer instinct in attack.

I just fail to see what Warnock thinking was going for wingers who offer more defensively than attacking these days against a team playing very narrow and no wingers, he could have went for NML and Murphy one that tracks back and one that goes forward and stick the defensive one where their attacks come through which in the first half seem to be down the left side.
