Sir Neil on Brexit

Sat Jan 12, 2019 10:18 pm

I must say that I agree 100% with his comments, and it cheered me up to hear them.
I expect that they'll attract some contraversy, which is unfortunate , but to quote another ,less patriotic football figure on the subject, some things are more important than football.
There are plenty of traitors who want to see our country ruled over by foreign powers, and plenty of morons who swallow their lies and deceptions but are nonetheless just as treacherous in effect. Indeed ,there are those who fail to understand how important it is to accept the outcome of a democratic vote and enact it , but their stupidity if not their intent makes them enemies of democracy and Liberty.

Perhaps he shouldn't have mentioned the subject , or answered the question so honestly for fear of political blowback, but I think, like me, he loves his country - or at least the memory of it - more than he cares about expediency

It just seems odd to mention.

I think the journalist asked him if Brexit was making transfers difficult but they cut that bit out and didn't mention it in the hit peice.

Notice how Sir Neil "ranted" about Brexit whilst Gary Lineker ""speaks out " about remaining.
