Doubt if anyone can pick out many positives from today. I can, the queue in McDonalds on the way home was a lot smaller than ususal. At least Sven won't come on here only when he has something negative to say. Be interesting to know if you have ever posted anything positive about the side you claim to support.

Positives: got a point in a game we didn't deserve and still out the bottom 3.

You just don't get it do you. I post positive things when something is positive to post on, I don't try and sugarcoat things when they are not I will say it as I see it.
Warnock played two players today that were not fit and the reason he said he had no one else. Yet there were two £10m players on the bench that could play in those positions.

I shouldn't have used Svens name in the title it was a bit childish I admit that. Mods if you want to delete it that's cool.

Clean sheet.
Over 30,000 crowd.
Players are clearly fighting for the manager and badge.
Bamba.
Healey didn’t look out of his depth.
Hoilett seems to have a bit of confidence back.

Nah, I'll leave it here as a great example of your immaturity, inability to post sensibly and clear frustration that I sussed you out a long time ago as a deliberate and permanently negative individual on this Forum :thumbright:

For info, I see negativity in lots of things City related and I do occasionally say so when it is required; BUT my long-standing support of the club plus my ability to see what's gone/going on the background away from the fish bowl world of the highs and lows of any days result (world beaters with a 1-0 win and Conference level with a 1-0 defeat) allows me to remain relatively positive about the position the club are in right now

We were lucky with Neil Warnock's appointment. Most didn't expect us to be anywhere near the Premier League this season, didn't expect anything except effort from the team we had at the start of the season and to date they have excelled themselves in real terms

You also need (like certain others) to have the ability to separate personal posting form Moderating. The two are not always the same and (I like to think) the vast majority of people I have come into contact with will tell you that like the other Mods/Admins I am nothing if not honest, up front and working in the best interests of the Forum and its vast majority of decent members

You don't 'know' what's going on in the background any more than the rest of us but you post negativity as fact

It isn't; it's just your opinion and (to be fair) a consistent one at that...permanently negative!

No you don't post positive things. It's unlikely that your knowledge of or judgement upon who to play is as good as Sir Neil's and the stuff you post can do nothing but harm morale if anyone listens to it.
I think you've got some psychological sub text going on which is to do with deflating the achievements of others, but you should be aware what you're telling everyone about yourself when you do this stuff.
Have you ever thought that sharing in the positivity of others means that you get a share of it , and that this is a better remedy for your inner feelings than trying to drag it down or destroy it ?

Just to add if people post things that “have no substance” why not be humble and explain you’re issues with it in a more dignified manner that just being straight up arrogant about it? yeah Sven I’m talking to you.

The definition of a football supporter is “a person who is actively interested in AND wishes success for a particular team.”

The definition of a critic is “a person who expresses an unfavourable opinion of something.”

Let’s stick to being Cardiff City Supporters. :ayatollah:

I just don't get it that you agree with Warnocks decision making even thought its clearly terrible football to watch.

Well, whether I necessarily agree with every decision or not, I do have the common sense to realise that he's in a better position to make them than I . Your point about the entertainment value of the football is fair enough , except that I don't personally think that's what we are, or should be, aiming at. If I wanted to see great football in that sense I'd watch videos of the Brasil 1970 team, but what this is about at this stage is results and progress.
In the world of real football it takes time to progress from an average championship team into an average premiership team ,and most don't manage that by the way , but we have - or very very very nearly have. The process isn't always going to be pretty but it's hard to do even so.
Sir Neil has got us this far with decisions which might not be obvious ,but which have proven to be wise. Of course he won't always get it right, but he does most of the time and the fact that we've come this far when other prettier teams haven't proves a point.
There may come a day when we can afford to put entertainment and similar aspects of the game higher up the list of priorities , but that's not fir a while yet and it wouldn't ever happen if we couldn't grind out a point against teams like this when necessary rather than risk handing them three points which could end up hurting us a lot.
As for playing this one or that one , well we have no idea what's behind such decisions have we - maybe someone's got domestic problems or someone else has done especially well in training. It's not as straightforward as picking the most expensive or generally most experienced in those positions.
There's a reason why we employ a man like Sir Neil with so much knowledge and experience to make these judgements and put him into a position where he knows the little details and things about players as they exist today, and he's shown that he's good at doing this by progressing the club to where it is without spending money we don't have.
In short, you must judge the overall results and progress rather than the short term bits and pieces or ,to put it another way, look at the big picture.

Let’s stick to being Cardiff City Supporters. :ayatollah:

Don't accept those definitions actually, but also to be fair, there's nothing wrong with being critical but this constant withering fire of negativity and put downs is something else .

WAYHAAAY! Here it comes! :ayatollah:

Arrogant? Self-righteous? Better than anyone else? :? I think you're looking in a mirror, fella! ;) :laughing6:

I'll take the "condescending paragraphs using quotes and italics" comment though, as that's my personal style and one designed to emphasise the points I'm trying to get across, e.g. reminding YOU of what YOU said as FACT about Sala signing last week! (Oops! I did it again! )

Are you going to say you didn't post it? :? Sadly, it's not the only time you've done stuff like that!

For info, your convenient new 'friend' BlueMoon1974 invited himself into the conversation and therefor opened himself up to comment. To be fair though, I did open it up for you and that is all you come back with? :?

I've made no secret of my disdain for you and your pointless, uninformed, post-accumulating, usually one line or 'wavey smiley' and weakly attempted jibe responses to threads/posts before now and that hasn't changed

Look back to your own posts (and your anticipated poor response to this) for evidence on that! ;) :ayatollah:

You just can’t help yourself can you? :laughing6: and I’m not arrogant I’m actually humble and I don’t make other posters look or feel small to make myself look big and clever.

They do say “a persons arrogance is a camouflage for they’re insecurities” hmmmm ;)

I recently spoke to some younger Cardiff City fans who were travelling on the same coach as me to Crystal Palace away. I asked them if they read this message board and they all admitted they used to, but got bored of reading older guys arguing with each other which backs up your “withering fire of negativity and put downs” comment.

Not arrogant at all (speak to those who actually know me ;) ) but able to think for myself and suss posters of your ilk, i.e. pointless and occasional tellers of untruths (polite version) and it's noted you didn't respond to that particular part of my post! ;)

Can I help myself? :? No, not when it comes to letting your ilk know that they're spoiling the Forum and/or making things up just to feed their own needs and (in your case) need to engage at any cost. If that makes you feel small, then take a look in said mirror and see if you can actually post with any substance and without resorting to crap

Making myself look big? :? I don't think so (but I guess some will think otherwise) and that's just your very weak attempt to justify why someone (and be fair, it's not just me) would dare to pick you up on the pointless, often made up, post-accumulating bile you spout!

Our opinions will rarely fall in line (I'd be 'big' enough to tell you if they did) and I can only comment on you as one of the poorer posters on here, as I don't know you as a person and tend not to go down that road

Seems the criticism in your world can only go one way...out but not in! ;)
