Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner to Match of the Day on penalty decision:
"To be honest I'm not the right person to ask the question. There are four people in black and you have to ask them what was going on.
"I spoke to the linesman during the match and he said 'the first incident was not a foul and the second I don't know' but I don't know what he means. It was clearly a penalty, the video footage speaks for itself and we have not got it. It makes no sense to waste my energy for something like this, but it was a big mistake.
"I really can't find the words how this can happen. The fourth official had no idea either, he was a surprised as everyone else was. Decisions like this make tables and seasons. We have had so many decisions against us and I don't know why.
"The boys left everything on the grass, and only one team deserved something out of the game. One point is not enough, we needed to win."
Cardiff captain Sean Morrison: "We wanted to take three points but with our performance we didn't deserve to win the game and we're disappointed. Huddersfield played with a lot less pressure, it was an all-or-nothing performance from them.
"We've got better players than we have shown today and if we want to stay in the Premier League our performances need to be better and we need to create chances."
On the penalty Huddersfield were awarded before referee Lee Mason changed his mind: "From my point of view it was not a penalty. It was two or three yards before he went down. The referee gave it, spoke to a linesman and overturned."

AfricanBluebird wrote:As much as NW has done amazing things for our club yesterdays performance shows the lack of quality in our squad and lack of in-match ambition and game-play by our manager at this level.
Some things Warnock should be self-reflecting on:
We don't have a single recognised and available striker in a 25 man squad - if the recognised strikers are injured then how can NW be blamed?
None of the attacking players we spent money on in the Summer were playing yesterday - just because they cost big money doesn’t mean they should play if the are out of form
We created nothing of note at home against the team at the bottom who were on a 9 game losing streak - - disappointing I agree, but we have no right to turn over any Prem team. It was also a must win for them and a must not lose for us
The players looked lethargic, tired and devoid of energy - i agree
Less 38% possession at home to Huddersfield is extremely worrying and while possession means little - at home to the worst team in the league it is indicative of lack of quality in our squad - i agree we need to strengthen
We can't seem to string two passes together - - poor performance. Every team in the league has an off day
Bringing on a League 1 striker while Murphy and Reid are on the bench was a huge gamble which didn't work - we have been crying out for a striker by trade and he was the only one available
Our best player yesterday was a centre back converted to right back who must be starting in the centre... he was covering for Morrison all game who is looking very slow at this level - - I agree that Bruno deserves to replace Morrison but that’s not going to happen until we get a decent right back in
Tactically we were never at the races yesterday and didn't look like we could create anything - you are repeating yourself, but yes I agree it was poor. NW admitted it was not good enough
On a positive note:
3rd clean sheet in 4 games
This should add extra urgency to our recruitment campaign and not just for a striker... We are desperate for two Strikers, a energetic midfielder and a right back... I think these are minimum requirements.
