If you’re Emiliano Sala watching our game today, you’d surely be licking your lips at the opportunity. Defensively against teams out of the top 6 were conceding very little and a fair number of cleansheets. Sala would come here and wouldn’t have to do much to steal the show. A top class finisher and we win that 1-0.
Would prefer 3 points today but as far as signings go in one way that 0-0 could look very attractive. If you get what I mean.

I'm thinking the opposite, what respectable striker would want to play in a team with that service.

my thoughts to, don't matter who you got upfront if you got a midfield who can not string 4 passes together like today then there wont be much service for messi let alone this bloke that isn't coming anyway all media spin I recon

You could see today why Clyne didn’t want to come, never mind Sala

I think the opposite after that, why would a striker want to play up front for us, watching a performance like that?

Hope they don’t show MOTD in France. No player will want to come here.

We didn’t create any chances,if I was a striker having watched that,I would have said no thanks

I agree with the OP. People saying we dont create nothing well part of that problem is paterson as he cant function effectively as the focal point of our attack. Sala would make the team better all around, understanding what to do bringing in the likes of camarassa and the wide men, and then they would create more for sala in the box then for him to finish. This dosent happen much right now because we have got a guy upfront who is not a natural striker.

Just a thought but could a striker like Sala (or similar) allow Neil Warnock to select the team differently?

I don't think so to be honest. The more the pressure is on the more defensive he goes. We seen it as we scraped along the line last season (not to take away from it). I know what your saying but I don't see it. He had a chance today and went with Healy

Top class finisher.. have you seen his stats? He's never scored more than 12 in a season in the French league.

Personally I hope no prospective signing reads this board. It was a poor performance but according to most we are now the worst side in the world. Negativity breeds negativity..

Need to be realistic also. Against a team with an appalling recent run of defeats we deserved to lose. I really think we need a good, young coach and three players who can add immediate quality......if not, we're going down for sure.
