Should knock a few hundred grand I suppose. To be honest I wouldn't mind giving him a run out in the league. Maybe on a game against a big side IF we're losing by more than 3 goals? Just a thought.

Is'nt it usually the buyers who have to do the travelling to secure a deal. If we were after a Sunderland lad, I would have thought a representative of our club would be more likely to be making the journey to Sunderland. That used to be the way things worked, may have changed since my days.

Martin Bain left the CEO post at Sunderland in June 2018 and they haven't replaced him to date

Of interest is that their Head of Recruitment is one Tony Coton; a great keeper back in the day with Man City, Man Ure and others!
