' Neil Warnock last night was watching '

Wed Jan 09, 2019 12:01 pm

Neil Warnock is not giving up on Emiliano Sala :thumbright:

Neil Warnock watched Nantes’ 2-0 win over Montpellier last night.

Apparently its Sala who needs to be persuaded.

Well if this is true then the interest must be genuine and I can't think that Sir Neil would be going all the way there unless he thought there was a realistic chance of success

Dislike the idea of chasing a player who doesn't want to leave a club, doesn't sit right with me that

Yeah you're right there, I'm sure his agent will get him over the line, be a good signing showing intent.

Victor Camarasa who is a lot of Cardiff fans hero this season, didn’t want to come to Cardiff. It was only when his Mrs reccomended it that he changes his mind.

On top of that, do you seriously think anyone above the championship is going to WANT to play for Cardiff when there are probably other options? It’s easy to attract a player to play in the premier league if their a few divisions lower than us. But it’s near impossible to attract a decent player to play for us, unless we compensate the lack of interest with money. Money makes people motivated. That’s enough for me, if he becomes motivated enough to play for us because of money then I will happily have him if he’s as good as I’m told.

I’m fairly sure you wouldn’t move to France after living in the Uk for so long just for a a temporary pay increase that could completely fall through in 7 months would you? I mean, you MIGHT. But it’s not unreasonable to think some people wouldn’t.

Doesn’t mean anything but I watched the second half. He didn’t really even touch the ball and got subbed.
Looked a bit slow and gangly .... just saying.

Maybe he was watching a different Nantes player?

Just a thought, as there were rumours a few months ago that there may be a number of players that interested City.

But if you weren't a city fan would you be knocking down doors to sign for us? I wouldn't not until later in the window when all the option have been given

I don’t think he is a City fan.
What fan/supporter wishes our captain to get injured so that he misses the rest of the season?

A while ago, someone on here copied an article from some football magazine about Sala. The article said that Sala was often a figure of ridicule for his ungainly movement and style of play.

When Warnock went to see him play for the first time he said Sala hadn't had a good game.

I don't think he's scored in his last 5 games, has he? I don't feel good about this signing but I hope I'm proved wrong.

If he does not want to come here can you really see him trying. Don't bother with him.

Maybe his real aim is to buy a home there to retire next season given how many times he has been to Nantes :happy1:

I'm pretty sure a good share of his goals this season have been from the spot too.

He's really after their right-back Enock Kwateng and using the gangly Peter Crouch wannabee as a smokescreen.

Please forget Sala. He obviously does not want to come to us. Stop wasting you time. Can you imagine the fans reaction if he was to sign and then failed to deliver. He would be crucified.

Well i watched the whole game. I was impressed. Hard working, has a bit of pace, intelligent and good link up play, apparently a very good finisher too so looked to me exactly what we are missing.

Neil has got a couple of deals over the line by giving it the personal touch,Arter being one of them.We may very well be a total alien concept to the lad.He may think better now he's met his potential boss.
