I haven't been away for at least 10 years, but I agree, makes perfect sense.

Any fan who went to Bristol City would have got 5 more points than Huddersfield have managed all season so far!

What do you do with these points ?
Can you buy stuff with them like Green Shield Stamps or those tokens which used to be in Embassy fags ?
Or do you get badges like the ones we can't mention anymore but you could send off for with tokens which we can't even describe anymore but came affixed to jam jars ?

Either way I think it's a great idea. How many points for a toaster ?

To be serious though , and I've never thought about it before, but why not issue tickets on the to away fans on production of their match ticket and have a draw at half time for £1000 ? That's chump change to the Club and yet it'd be a great incentive.

People will still take the piss. The ones who qualify will buy a ticket regardless of whether they intend to go and sell it on if they choose not to. Increasing their 'loyalty' at the expense of others who are trying to get a foot in the door but can't get their hands on tickets via the proper channels.

I do agree but for now it would be nice if it was consistent and it didn't jump from 5 aways to zero...if this continues by the time we visit Old Trafford phase 1 will be 8 or 9 and phase 2 none..

I was reading the programme at the Leicester game a couple of weeks ago and they seem to have a similar scheme.
Away tickets are sold based on your loyalty points with the number of points needed dropping each day.
For example -
Day 1, 300 points needed
Day 2, 270 points needed
Day 3, 240
Day 4, 210 etc etc

then anyone else after about day 7.

Seems to make perfect sense and also nice to know that it was their most loyal fans who saw them get dumped out of the cup on Sunday!

lots of different schemes out there and all a lot better than what we have..
Spurs fans have to apply for away tickets.and then the club figure out how far down the list based on loyalty points people get tickets..i think that its a rolling 3 year thing with the value of points dropping each year { eg 400 points for this season becomes 200 nxt year and 100 year after before being replaced totally} which does not then send you to zero if you or a family member is ill, can not afford a ST due to loss of job that year etc.

but with uourselves as I said earlier, come end of season phase one could well be 9 aways...and phase 2 someone who hasn't been away for years stands the same chance as someone who has done 8 this season..terrible tbh.

This how it works and for me its fair, you get first chance for the big name games, if you have been going away to the smaller away clubs :thumbright:

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN:

Tickets for #htafc's upcoming @premierleague game away at @ChelseaFC are now on sale to all supporters with 350 points or more!

this is always spot on, 50 points season ticket, 1 point home game 10 points away,15 points away in cup 5 points in league, doit over 7 days then give out to the rest.
stupidly our club do 4+ then straight to none what about the others with 3 and2?

Oh come on. There have been multiple chances for people with no away games under their belt to get a few this season if they really felt slighted by. Newcastle is a great example, yet I bet those whinging about not being able to get away tickets will probably shy away from it. Hell even the likes of the West Ham and Crystal Palace games only sold out AFTER tickets were available without a minimum game requirement. I really don't see how anyone can complain about "getting their foot in" this season.

I'm not doubting that. Im just stating that whatever the system people will abuse it. Any system will suit some and not others. There isn't a size that fits all.

As you stated. If you really want a ticket or get your foot in then our system is working just fine.
