Wolves Wages

Mon Jan 07, 2019 11:29 am

Right no doubt by signing players like moutinho and neves these players are getting payed very high wages by wolves. Rumoured that abraham could be going there for 120k a week wether that is true or not i dont know.

But my point is how the hell can wolves afford to pay wages like that and fulham for example and still comply with financial fair play when their not really big clubs fan bases and crowds less than ours fulham especially, how can they get away with it? Criminal surely

So they are in no trouble with ffp and like say Fulham billionaire probably ok with it as well, we must be only premier club trying to avoid ffp judging by our wage bill ? :o

We aren’t trying to avoid financial fair play we are spending the money on other things like a new training ground.
FFP in the premier league is different to football leagues FFP rules.
When we got relegated last time we had nothing to show for it apart from a huge squad of over paid wastes of spaces

Loads of ways to get round FFP anyway it’s not a particularly good system.

The thing is when you get promoted, you obviously try to stay up. But it can work against you or for you. Look at Fulham spent over a hundred million, everyone thought that they would be mid table. They had a hell of a shock when that wasn't the case. But if they were to get relegated they probably be in alot of trouble in the championship with the high wages. Not saying you can't do well with spending money but it's about spending on the right areas and making sure that your bring the right player for the right price. I don't think Fulham had a plan in The tranfer window as they brought in two starter keepers for example. Wovles had spent the money in the right places and with the portegese connection that helps them alot. I think we need to look in the foreign market as the price for players over here are well over the odds like solanke for 19 million for 1 goal in 21 games, mind-blowing. Like camarasa he has be a revelation since coming here, not saying every player abroad would adapt over here, but it's a gamble on any player you bring in, if they are gunna do well or not.
