Honestly, this season in our predicament I couldn’t give a monkeys about the game cup. If we beat hudds and get a point at Newcastle I will be very pleased indeed. We don’t need any distractions this season. Should have played 11 changes the other day not just seven.

Don't see what the fuss is or why we are even surprised any more. Used to happen when teams played at full strength, will happen even more now the bigger teams have more important things to play for. Seems like a tournament for fringe team players from sides in the top two tiers, and an nice opportunity for those playing in the lower leagues. I know the media treat it as one massive shock, I would say it is mildly surprising. I was'nt shocked at our result yesterday, we have done it ourselves enough such as Leeds, Spurs etc., and have been beaten by lower league sides plenty of times in the past. I'm afraid the riches of the PL have devalued this competition, but still provides excitement to the little teams now, and the big names who take it seriously in the latter stages. Nice to see some of the big names fall to lower league opposition, but we will see this more and more, just as Newport & Barnet proved today.

Agreed, Fulham and Huddersfield out, if we had progressed we would have been ad a disadvantage with extra games, the money is small fry compared to staying in the League, we need to try and give it a good go !!!
I love the cup and when conditions are right it's worth giving it a good go, but not when you are in a promotion or relegation battle.
