NO URGENCY IN THE TRANSFER MARKET,THINK AGAIN

Sat Jan 05, 2019 5:24 pm

This is for all the fans who keep telling us fans, whats the rush we got till the end of january to sign players etc its only a few days in bla bla well i think today should have told you something we might have till the end of jan but if you believe that its not urgent that we need to get new players in you all need to go to the doctors for a test.

I don’t think people think it’s not urgent. People realise it’s not always easy as you think.

Spot on, Paul :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Knee-jerk reaction time again! We weren't that poor (other than in front of goal) and they' be saying completely different things had we sneaked a 1 - 0 win today

Sure the club/manager are well aware of what is needed and how urgent it is! :ayatollah:

The urgency is that any new signing needs time to settle getting them in last day of window means could be 5 games without proper reinforcements, by then could be bottom!

Didn’t see the game mate but I’ve heard we were poor.
You know the posters on here ... lose a game and it’s sack everybody, we’re shit, Warnock out, etc, etc.
Disappointing of course but fickle as f**k most of them.

Funny, it always seems easy for other clubs. Eddie Howe “ I want Solanke and Clyne”. 24 hours later, signed sealed and delivered.

I am beginning to think that there is no rush, we have all summer to bring in a championship striker and our accounts should be looking better

SVEN
No knee jerk from me i have said for a good while we need a striker the knee jerk is coming from you arguing against anybody that dares suggest we need new players in, i don' t know how how difficult it is to get players in but you seem to be more in the know than me but its not my job i am just a fan i am not a member of the board but its been obvious for a good while we need a striker so before we even got to january this was surely discussed and i would have hoped they would have wanted to get things done early like bournmouth have done and all i want is for us to stay up and not get relegated.

It is a lot easier to sign players for huge sums with the security of knowing the club is all but guaranteed to still be in the premier league next season.

There could be many reasons why we didn’t sign them or they didn’t want to come here.
Let’s take Clyne as an example:

Perhaps it was to do with the huge wages he’s on and Bournemouth offered to pay it all.
Perhaps he didn’t fancy a relegation fight with us.
Perhaps his club didn’t want him to come to us.
Perhaps he didn’t want to play in a team with our style of industrial football.
Perhaps he felt he was better suited to Bournemouth’s style of play.
There’s probably half a dozen other contractual reasons why it didn’t happen.

Too easy just to blame our club though.

I bet there's a huge list of top quality players all desperate to play in the bright lights of S Wales for a club who are one of the favourites to go down.

Exactly Steve.
Naive posters think you pick a player and sign him up. Job done, everybody’s happy.

lets face it it was criminal that warnock failed to get us in a striker of note for start of season by huddersfeild game id like to c a player or 2 brought in esp a striker would like the business done early instead of leaving it till end of month when it can take another few games for new faces to gel

They've been im the prem for a few years and are in a decent position. This is our first season back im prem just outside relegation.

Plus, as much as I love Warnock and city, they have a better squad and manager. With probably a bigger budget.

Yeah and it cost them £17M plus the loan fee. Just think if City had paid that we would all be amazed. Let's just see what happens on the 31st and not 5th # growapair

Howe was signing solanke and asked if clyne had signed for us pool said no so Howe jumped in no brainer for clyne once they wanted him. But NW said missed other signings while waiting lesson obviously not learned.

I agree in a way. The club allegedly missed out on players whilst waiting for Grujic in the summer & didn’t get a striker over the line. Seems that history seems to be repeating itself with NW saying that we missed out on players whilst waiting for Clyne. Let’s get these deals done before we end up missing out on anymore. The club seem intent with haggling over a £1m & how to make payments whereas Bournemouth yesterday a 19m striker signed up & Clyne in on a loan deal. No one knows what goes on behind the scene however we always seem reluctant to pay the going rate.

At last - someone who can see the woods for the trees!!

I have been saying this for months but what's happened today also shows that our miss-firing attack and slack defence won't even cut it in the Championship!! If we don't strengthen quickly it will be another case of into the EPL like lions and out like lambs again.

Baffling those who think we’re in a position to wait until the 31st before judging the window. Surely we should’ve had a plan A, B all the way to Z before the window started to get players in as quickly as possible to gel into the squad

Reading all the posts most are completely right we will be a laughing stock.sit back and think Bournemouth survive on 10000 crowds their chairman is a multimillionaire and signed good players for millions.us on the other hand we get crowds of over 30000 and a owner who is a billionaire and can’t buy anyone I will leave the rest to you I rest my case
