This may be an unpopular view, but seriously, surviving in the premier league is enough of a job without the distraction of the cup.
A woeful performance today but move on and reset for 17th place or better.

Today isn’t important, in the grand scheme of things. The hierarchy now need to get their act together and sign the quality players we need, to help us stay up.

I agree its not the end of the world being out. But today confirmed to me that a lot of our players aint up to premier league standard. As ive said so many times our recruitment this window will make or break our season and future of the club not the fa cup. I just hope we get in the quality we need.

Clear the decks? We won't have any players left.

I'm not too bothered about the main starters being off the pace. I'm more annoyed that the fringe players didn't put their hands up and and make a case they should be playing. That and we generally seem to have real issue stringing enough passes together to create genuine chances for whoever plays up front. He looked rushed and lack composure. That's evident in most games. So to do it again against a league 1 side is a concern.
Ralls just doesn't do it for me sorry. Yes he is committed and yes he has a good engine. But he should be looking to dominate possession and games. Carry the ball and spray around dangerous passes .. dangerous to the opposition not to us. He spills possession so cheaply.
Damour did play well. But he is limited as well. He has a lot of passes go astray. But at least he tried to get on the ball and make things happen. We basically are carrying 2 midfielders that aren't up to the task and probably won't be.
We clearly do lack a right back. Jazz isn't fit apparently and hasn't been. Peltier while dedicated is lacking at the top level and means our best CB plays out of position.
So jazz is another squad position being carried. And what happened to Connolly?
Less said about up front. But we have a guy sat twiddling his thumbs all winter who would have been as effective if not more than ward and madine and zohore. He appears to be leaving soon because he isn't wanted.
Our starting 11 is pretty tidy and are clearly giving their all. But we desperately need strength in depth. We can't carry 5 players like we are. They aren't adding any strength in depth and they aren't pressuring the main starting 11 to up their own game. The Warnock effect keeps them going I have no doubt. But with players hungry and fighting coming up behind them maybe we wouldn't be embarrassed by teams like spurs.
