Scouting department

If we can't get anybody in by end of window then structure of club needs to be reviewed. We should never be dickless in a fight we in front of us. For example, how the hell did Abraham end up at Villa.

A valid thread and points towards Warnock needing help behind scenes.

We're outside the relegation zone in the Premier League and looking for additions, so how do you see that? :?

Opinions welcomed but flooding the Forum with pointless and/or repeated subject threads is unhelpful ;)

Lack of footballing nous behind the scenes, doesn’t help. You could write on a postage stamp what Tan, Choo and Dalman now about football.

And you'd still have plenty of room left.

Spot on

Re: Scouting department

Perhaps we need a Director of Football to be hands on in dealing with these transfers.
Find it hard to believe that we did not contact Liverpool or only found out via the press on the clyne transfer.
Why were we not in daily contact?

Good point though how the hell did abraham end up at villa in a league below if we were in for him, probably to do with villa willing to pay more of his wages than us which is poor when we are a premiership team

Early days in this window but I sense a storm hovering . Warnock needs a good team around him that know the market. I have faith in him.

From another thread and sums it up nicely. Not my words though

Messageboards are what they are.

When we win, everything is good, when we loose they ain't.

They are what they are, a place for people to discuss, vent and give opinions through good and bad, if you can't handle that, message boards are probably a place to avoid, it's like an online pub without any punches thrown.

You make a good point about Abraham to be honest.

The summer dealing was pretty poor. For all Warnocks strengths I'm afraid at this level his biggest weakness is dealing with transfers.

Think it was our transfer window closed a month before the championship window closed
And chelsea would not let him out until after our window closed ??

No, it was that Chelsea originally said they weren't letting him out again but then changed their minds without having the courtesy of letting Cardiff know ;)

I understand Cardiff had an apology from Chelsea but by then it was too late :(

Now (sic) about football? Ay?

How much do you ‘know’ about football?

Choo and Dalman under Warnock’s guidance know plenty. Tan leaves them to it.

Well you would have if you knew more about football than people who own and run a premier league club, wouldn't you ?
I doubt that Vincent Tan invests that much money in anything he doesn't find out about , either personally or by employing someone to do that.
