Hardly a surprise.

Sky Sports News: Nathaniel Clyne to Bournemouth

how can a poxy little nothing club like Bournemouth with 12,000 max crowds bear us to a signing like that there is no way they are adhering to ffp rules imo.

No bitterness there, then?

Bournemouth are, in comparison to us, an established Premier League club currently sitting mid-table and therefor maybe seen as a 'better' option for the guy Clyne

To be fair, we don't actually know what is going on behind the scenes and it may be that City made an offer that was declined or the player preferred not to come here or (and this is likely) no actual offer was made at all

Cardiff City tend to keep things very much in-house these days (personally I like that) and anything we read/put out on the transfer front has an element of speculation rather than absolute fact

Try to be at least a little bit patient. Clyne appears gone so let's see what develops elsewhere :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Bournemouth are set to sign Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne on loan until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old England right-back has struggled with injury and played only five games last season.

He has made two starts in five appearances this term and is behind Trent Alexander-Arnold in the pecking order at Anfield.

Clyne, who was also a target for Cardiff City, joined Liverpool from Southampton for £12.5m in 2015.

On ssn now. Were we realistically going to get him? He would get in most sides

If true, we move on to other targets.

We’re only four days into the window.

Lol great start in the transfer window. Thought this was a cert. I can see us getting no where near what the fans are expecting this January. Great signing Bournemouth.

You’re making it out like Bournemouth are doing Liverpool a favour by taking Clyne off their hands

Gutted tbh as he's a really good player.

Was he ever a realistic target.

He's on 70k a week. Were we ever going to pay his wages and if so what sort of effect would that have had on the what seem to be current 'United' group.
