The latest Cardiff City exits as the January transfer window rolls on
Anthony Pilkington and Loic Damour are expected to leave Cardiff City this month, as Rhys Healey returns to the club following a successful loan spell with MK Dons.
It is understood former Norwich City and Huddersfield man Pilkington will secure a permanent deal with a Championship club in the next week or two.
He's not been in the Bluebirds' first team plans this season after being omitted from Neil Warnock's 25-man squad.
But the 30-year-old, who has been training hard in a bid to secure a move in January, will be remembered fondly by Cardiff fans after hitting 22 goals in all competitions - including a memorable late strike at Sheffield United last season that proved crucial in the promotion chase.
Damour is another who been short of game time this season and hinted in November that he could leave, either on loan or permanently.
Healey is back training with the Bluebirds, although MK Dons want the promising striker back until the end of the season.
There are five or six other clubs believed to be interested Healey, who could yet play a part for Cardiff this season.
The Bluebirds' hunt for a new frontman this month could determine whether Warnock - who is a fan of Healey - finds a place for the 24-year-old in his 25-man squad.
A new version of the squad list must be handed to the Premier League on January 31.
And Healey, who is cup-tied and won't be available to face Gillingham this weekend, may be included.
Mark Harris has also returned from his loan spell at Newport County, which produced mixed results for the Wales Under-21 international.
He scored three goals at Rodney Parade but only started five matches.

It's a shame pilks fell from favour. Always worked hard. Never publicly moaned and always gave 100%. I'm sure we would all wish him well for the future

No surprises in that list (Pilks, Damour and Tomlin) and makes good sense for all concerned
Would also be good if a replacement could be found for the loyal and appreciated Matthew Connolly and he is allowed to go play his football elsewhere
Rhys Healey's return is an interesting one, as he must be on the cusp of joining the first team squad, if City cannot bring in the player(s) they want. If they do, surely he will be allowed to go back out on loan?
Mark Harris probably still in his development as a senior player and I am surprised he wasn't used more at Cewnty given he scored in 3 out of 5 starts; but does that tell us something itself about his all round game?

Lambert Targeting Ex-Canary Pilkington
Friday, 4th Jan 2019 09:13
Ipswich Town boss Paul Lambert is eyeing a move for his former Norwich City winger Anthony Pilkington, who is currently out of favour at Cardiff City.
According to the Daily Mirror, Lambert wants the 30-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, on loan.
TWTD understands that Pilkington is very much on Lambert's radar and is likely to be one of the targets the Blues manager was referring to yesterday when he said he hoped to bring "a few" players in next week.
Wales Online is reporting that Pilkington is set to leave Cardiff to join a Championship club on a permanent basis within the next fortnight, however, any move to Town would be a loan.

I think we should bring Pilkington back into the 25 and get rid of Madine.
He can play anywhere across the front 3 , always gives 100% and can score a goal or two.
I think he has been treated quite harshly he did very well last season when called on
