HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE FORMULA 1 LEGEND WHO TURNS 50

Thu Jan 03, 2019 8:10 am

Michael Schumacher, Who turns 50 today has had a glorious Formula 1 career while driving under the likes of Ferrari and Benetton. BUT unfortunately back in 2013 Michael suffered a huge injury during his time skiing. Since then he not been seen from the outside world ever since.

Its sad that this happened because i think he is the greatest formula 1 legend of all time carrying 7 titles to his name.
Keep fighting though Michael, because your a legend in the whole F1 Community and wish you a speedy recovery.

A tragic situation for a Formula One legend

Wasn't a big fan of him (not his driving) in the early days but that changed as time went on and we started to see the real Michael Schumacher rather than the perceived one

As a long-standing F1 fan, I wish him well and good luck in his recovery :ayatollah:

I'm with you Chris as I've never been a fan of Schumacher the driver but what you saw on the racetrack was a small % of what he put into becoming a 7 time Champion. He didn't just turn up jump in the car and drive it as fast as possible, like maybe Senna, he studied the engineering aspects which gave him the ability to understand ALL aspects that affected the performance and that gave him the ability to wring every single % point out of the car.

Whatever you thought of his behaviour on the track with his "Competitive Nature" you cannot deny his dedication to be the best and it did make him one of the best. In his dedication to win he did sometimes cross the line but so did Senna and Alonso and I remember reading in a book that Ron Dennis said of drivers like Schumacher, Senna and Alonso "Competitive animals know no limits".

I wish him a Happy Birthday and the very best in his recovery.
