I would 100% give him a contract till the end of the season

I'm with you! If we can get a striker from abroad on loan too :thumbright:
Sign Clyne and and a holding midfielder and we are happy days imo.

He would score goals but I dont think Defoe is a Warnock style player but would love him here

The way things are going perhaps we need someone who isn’t a Warnock style player.

You could very well be right

Maybe if Bournemouth cancelled his contract and we weren't then taking him as our remaining 'loan', then it could work. Defoe night contribute in the field (even as a sub) and has the experience that could help those already at the club

Not my first choice but maybe if we are struggling with other targets... :ayatollah:

He’d be a great signing, will always get you a goal.

Don’t think it would happen unfortunately, doesn’t strike me as the sort of player Warnock wants.

So then they can languish in the Under 23s with the rest of the non-Warnock style players like Pilkington....

If he doesn't run the channels and doesn't hold the ball up and bring people into play we wont be signing him its that simple. My biggest worry with Defoe is he hasn't played first team football in over a year and you have to wonder if his legs are gone. Remember Robbie Fowler and Ricky Lambert?

Cant see him wanting a contract to the end of the season at his age. Can't see how he would fit here at all.

Even though the Scottish Clubs dont pay big wages I reckon Rangers will be covering most of this. They have probably done a deal with Bournemouth and agreed to cover his wages but not pay a loan fee, Bournemouth probably happy with that as frees up his wages for someone else, good deal for both sides.

Doesn't seem far off the mark. I think he'll do well up there. A lot like Moreles though. Perhaps he's off??

Wouldn't fit in here in a lone striker role.

18 month loan deal to Rangers

Perfect move for him, he will get chances and goals.

At his age I doubt he wanted a relegation battle fighting for the off half chance.
