I remember we were interested in him, I think at the time he was after a much bigger club, he did alright at first didn't he but doesn't seem to get any time at Spurs, it shows how strong their squad is.

went to Southampton...seemed to use us purely as a bargaining tool..did really well there hence the manager signing him the second time for Spurs..

purely as a player yes...but we were priced out of it with him last time during a period we were throwing money around...a transfer to Spurs and possibly even more dosh since how much in wages is he going to cost..?

No. They wanted the move. Celtic decided after agreeing a price they wanted another 2M

His fitness record would worry me i we bought him.

Maybe that's not where I heard them, I wouldn't be surprised if we have enquired about 30 players, we will probably end up with one or two additions !!!

He is a Warnock type of player, but we are desperate for a Striker and right back, so he's not a necessity, I can see him moving on in the Summer when Spurs make some signings.

I'm not sure how much mileage there is in this one.

However, I would suggest he's an improvement on Gunnarsson and Arter (both of whom have done well this season) so if he's available why wouldn't we look to improve ?

Can't see him being in our price range at all. Possibly the transfer fee, but the wages... No. There will be a line of clubs above us who can offer double what we are willing to.
